McClaren strollers, Quest or MX question

My grandson could use a new stroller, he is 3 +, but already 40 lbs and in size 5. Long legs and tall. How mush room is between the seat, and hood of a McClaren Quest of MX.

If I sit him down I want to measure and make sure the head does not bump the hood. Otherwise I can use my old dalmatin Greco from dd. He is way too big for his regular reclining Greco/convertable Pooh Bear style.

We do Knoboels all day, Hershy and zoo's, plus his Dad's bad back gives him something to lean on.

We loved out Quest. My dd was 6 when she rode in it at WDW. She is in the 95th percentile for height (always has been) and she was about 45lbs when she was in it. She was very comfortable. I know that's not an answer to your question, but I hope it helps some.

It gives me hope that this may be the way to go. I am going to measure him from the butt sitting to the top of the head.
Then I will measure my older stroller from the seat to the hood to hopefully be able to compare. I womder if they have any at the Babies R Us?

Hi Fellow NE PA DISer! We have a Maclaren Quest and Volvo. My DD who will be five in May fits in both nicely and she is tall also...43 inches. I love these strollers! We use them for Disney, Hershey, and Knoebels too without a problem and the weight limit is 55lbs

If you have a TJ Max near you check them out a member of another group that I belong to posted they have the techno onsale there for 174.99. On another note the techno xlr has a 65 pound weight limit and is made to hold and infant carset so the seat is bigger.

Our boys are slated to be 6'5" or 6'6" (tall family). Knowing this, our concern was stroller strength. When we bought our Maclaran double, the store owner actually stood in the stroller and bounced up and down to demonstrate how strong it is.

WOW Thanks for the information. I saw some on Ebay but they were the 2007 models for sale new, but I hesitated to buy without knowing the height.
The kiddo gets tired legs and no one can carry him. I will stop by our TJ Max and B r Us too.

Hello from the Northeat too! I have family in Boyertown and have a family reunion every August at the park. Wow wasn't it great to have that warm weather last week! We are already getting into the Knoboels mood, OH and Steamtown. DGS is a train fanatic.

We have not had him to Hershey, mainly because of the ticket price and three of us can't ride. So we do Lancaster, Knoboels and a 2007 trip to Disney. We will do the philly zoo soon too.
