I didn't see the video, but agree that both McCain and Obama are advocating socialist policies, just to different degrees. But it's all heading to the same place.
Did you see India launched a lunar mission yesterday?
So, y'all recognize socialism as a bad thing then....

Neither is a socialist. If Obama's plan is socialism, then we've all been socialists since the Federal Government imposed income taxes.
Like I said, neither is a socialist, one is just a desperate politician. And by "one", I don't mean "that one"![]()

If Senator McCain is elected, which McCain will be the president? The one from 6 years ago or the one we are seeing now. Too much uncertaintly for me!!

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama Sunday during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell speaks to reporters Sunday after appearing on "Meet the Press."
.........I was troubled a couple of weeks ago when in the middle of the crisis, the [McCain] campaign said, "We're going to go negative," and they announced it, "We're going to go negative and attack [Obama's] character through Bill Ayers." Now I guess the message this week is, "We're going to call him a socialist, Mr. Obama is now a socialist, because he dares to suggest that maybe we ought to look at the tax structure that we have."
Taxes are always a redistribution of money. Most of the taxes that are redistributed go back to those who paid them, in roads and airports and hospitals and schools. And taxes are necessary for the common good. And there is nothing wrong with examining what our tax structure is or who should be paying more, who should be paying less. And for us to say that that makes you a socialist, I think is an unfortunate characterization that isn't accurate.
I don't want my taxes raised. I don't want anybody else's taxes raised. But I also want to see our infrastructure fixed. I don't want to have a $12 trillion national debt, and I don't want to see an annual deficit that's over $500 billion heading toward a trillion. So, how do we deal with all of this?......

Every single person thinking of voting for McCain should watch this.
This is why, as a former fan and supporter of McCain, it has been maddening watching the Conservatives get their hands on him and manipulate this guy. He is *not* the person that we're seeing these days. He's allowing himself to be used by the Right.....to his own detriment.
For him to call Barack Obama a socialist....well, it's positively laughable.
Neither is a socialist.

No, I didn't see what India did....
But I do think that McCain has the right fooled with his "Obama is a socialist" call.....McCain is much, much more moderate than he's been showing these days. If he does win he'll take a *giant* step to the left of where he's been during this election......mark my words.
Palin will be sent out on the Christian Fundamentalist Sunday Tour circuit.....and the rest of us will be left to pray every single night for the health and well-being of John McCain for the next four years.
Either way, nobody is raising taxes for at least a year or two.
And THAT's what we mean when we say "4 more years of Bush"...
McCain/Palin can campaign "Change and Reform" all they want, but at the end of the day, it would all be run by the same machine that we've had for the last 8 years. It really is time for something new.
