McAfee Security...

When we bought our Dell Computer, we were given 3 years of McAfee Security with our purchase. That subscription is about to run out and I was wondering if I should renew it or try another security program. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

IMO just use the free software available on the internet... AVIRA or AVAST for antivirus, Comodo for Firewall or just Windows Firewall, malwarebytes for malware, superAntiSpyware for spyware...

All freeware, and is excellent...

I totally agree. Don't spend money on McAfee. Get free stuff. .

I like AVAST and have been using it for the past couple of years and have not had any issues.

Agreed!!! I had McAfee for a few years and ended up with a bad virus. I have then switched to Avira and use Online Armour for firewall. Both excellent and have had no problems. Also use malwarebytes and superAntiSpyware.

You may want to check your internet service provider to see if they offer free virus protection software that you can download. Many of them do.

Microsoft security essentials. Takes the place of any firewall/anti-spyware/anti-virus programs out there. It is free and simple.
