I'm sure this has been asked numerous times already so I apologize in advance. If already have MB and tickets linked, do I need to check in at hotel first. We are thinking of driving an staying offsite the day before our reservations kick in an was curious how this worked. Thanks.

Conflicting info.

But, to make SURE that you can use the bands to enter the park(s) the day before you check in, just take your resort info and your bands to any Guest Relations outside the parks, at TTC or at DTD. You will then be able to enter before check-in.

Our reservations are for sat-Friday but planned to come down Friday night now so our tickets are 7 day passes. If we stayed onsite on Friday night would it be easier to link everything together?

I don't see that it matters where you stay, so just do what you like in that regard.

You can use your WDW resort package tickets up to 3 days prior to WDW resort check-in by just making a stop at a Guest Relations window.

The tickets won't be a resort package. We rented points and the tickets are AAA that we plan to link prior to going. This is the first time we've ever discussed driving and trying to figure out logistics as we want to be able to hit a park Sat am.
