MB & Charging?

On our upcoming trip my family of 4 is taking my niece who will be 16 along. She has her MDE account and is linked to my account. She is on our package reservation and is staying in the same room (POR). My question is will her parents be able to link a seperate credit to only her band for charging purposes, so she can buy her own snacks & souveniers? Or will my credit card be linked to her band?

I thought I read somewhere were she could have a seperate credit card linked, but now I can't find it back.

Yes, you can link a separate credit card to each individual MB, even if they're in the same room. We did this in December and it worked perfectly.

Yes, we did it at check in. The CM asked if we wanted to have charging privileges on the cards and then asked took each of our cards and had us touch our MBs and enter our pins to set them up.

You can also set it up where some guests can't charge. We used to never let our kids charge when it was KTTW cards, but now that it requires a PIN I am more okay with it.

You can set the Pin durning online check in or durning regular check in.

This sounds like a problem to me too, as she won't have her mothers card with her. I could have swore I read somewhere that it could be linked ahead of time thru MDE, which would work the best. I'll just have to call and ask.

Can you link a gift card to a magic band? We wanted to do this with our DS who is saving his money, but not sure if it's possible.

If so, maybe niece's mom can buy a GC ahead of time to link at check-in.

No you can not, at least as of my last trip.
