I was on a bus last week and the driver was informing people that the FP system was really great. And he and his family use it all the time. Just use your ticket at a kiosk to get a paper FP And then come back later without a wait. He told us we could get another FP after using one. I was like ... Wwhhhaaaaaattt. I could tell my wife was just hoping I was not going to say something. I Kept my mouth shut ( and she was happy)

He clearly had not been to the parks in sometime. You would think Disney would keep their folks informed of things that have been implemented, but if they dont do that, I highly doubt they give them the inside scoop on Star Wars Land.

And no one said anything?

By the way you have some autocorrect-style errors in your post. Easy enough to figure out but I know that I would want to know. :)

I have friends who actually "dictate" into their phones to post on message boards. The interpretation on the screen can be pretty funny. It's possible this is voice to text as well.

I was in the middle of the crowded bus and anything I said would have been lost. If I was closer, I would have spoken up.

Thanks for the spelling heads up. I should not post past 9 pm and certainly NOT with my my ipad.

Until recently CMs could only get FP from the kiosk on the same day of use. That recently changed in October. Maybe he was confused because he hasn't been using the system like a regular guest? He might not even realize he can get advance FP. Of course none of this wold explain the paper comment. Maybe someone should explain the new system to him.:)

I think the OP was wise not to confront the driver with the correct information. That sounds like one of those situations where the person giving out the info might feel extremely embarrassed about being so out of date if told about it in a public environment like that. To avoid awkwardness, I'd just nod my head and say, "Really? Well, that's good to know!", or say nothing, and be on my way. It's good to take much of what non-park CMs say with a grain of salt.

I actually agree with you. I was just being silly. Most of the incorrect information I hear is on the monorail, and it is guests telling other guests. I always stay out of it. We are in the parks every week, so I hear a lot of crazy stuff.

Sometimes the highlight of a Disney day is overhearing guests telling other guests obviously incorrect information. I feel bad for the receiving guests, but keep quiet. And wonder how and where the giver got their bad info. Maybe from a bus driver? ;)

Stuff like, "sure, you can use your parkhopper to go to Harry Potter Land. Just take the monorail."

I've got a good one. When the monorail was on a reduced schedule in late July, we had a bus driver pull up to the Poly and tell us to take the monorail to Epcot. This was for AM EMH, way before the monorail was running. We tried to politely correct him, but he insisted that you couldn't take a bus from Poly to Epcot. Normally, you don't need to do so. I thought it was bad for someone in Disney transportation to not know something important like that. Luckily, we knew not to wait for the monorail.

I like to help other guests when I can, but I do so only if I'm 100% positive what I'm saying is correct. One morning last trip there was a guy on the monorail who was happy to be going to MK to get a beer at BOG, as he stated " The only place you can get a beer in the Magic Kingdom." He was disappointed when I told him that beer was only available during dinner service. He said "Well then I'm going to the wrong park!?:rotfl2:

With respect to the bus drivers, maybe we should start some rumors about them. I've heard that after ten years of no sick days they can spend a night in the castle.;)

And where might those kiosk's be? They've been gone for about a year now. Unless you are talking about the Kiosk's for FP+ in which case the rest of the information would be incorrect even if that were true.

I was referring to the FP+ kiosk. That was the only option that we had for CM tickets until October. We can now get advance FP with CM passes.
