Maybe this is a dumb question.... but WHERE do they put the HHN houses?

Do they put up temporary structures? Are they in existing buildings? I'm clueless!

Both. They use temporary, tent like structures as well as permanent buildings.

Do they only use buildings that are otherwise empty? Or do they repurpose queues or other parts of current attractions?

They do repurpose some of the queue areas at times, as well as use the larger production area buildings.

A good amount of the houses are in what would be considered "backstage" areas of the park.
