OK, we like to be at the parks all day but haven't been in years. We haven't ever had an issue with it being just the two of us and no dining plan. We are off property at a friend's timeshare condo. It's free for us so can't really complain!

Now, I wanted to know what you all do as far as eating. :confused3 I assume you eat 2 meals a day probably 3, how do you go about this? Aren't you too full from the first meal to eat a second or even a third? We like TS but am concerned we won't get our money worth as far as being able to eat enough. Do you go go breakfast and nothing until TS dinner? Or an early CS and then late TS dinner? How far apart do you make them in order to enjoy both meals? What's the best way to have fun meals but try and not spend an absolute fortune? We don't mind spending that kind of money but like to get the most bang for our buck so to speak!

OK, so help me out here! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I usually do 2 meals a day. If I do one of breakfast buffets, I will skip lunch and maybe just have a Mickey Bar or some fries or something. Then I will do an early dinner. I am a HUGE fan of early dining--restaurant and staff are fresh, food is fresh, very short waits, no crowds.

If I eat breakfast in my room (cereal or bagel) we will do a counter service at the park but try to keep it as close to "normal" portions as possible and not overeat. We will also do this early (like no later than 11:30--see above regarding crowds). Then we will do a table service meal.

Disney dining is as much a part of my vacation as the hotel and the parks. I love planning different meals and going to the various restaurants, so it is very rare that I would do a counter service dinner.

We are VERY similar to Christine. We don't like to waste time in the morning (or $$) eating a breakfast - but we are not breakfast people. We eat something in the room while getting ready or on the bus/car on the way to the parks. On occasion we'll get to the park and grab a pastry and coffee at a counter service place and eat on the way.

Lunch is usually counter but not always; lunch menus are much cheaper then dinner so if we aren't using a discount or DDP, we aim for a big lunch to save $$.

We almost always do a table service dinner.

Dining at Disney is a big part of our trip; we have gone often enough in the last few years to not feel as if we don't have time to waste on meals. We have done all we want to do in the parks so we hit the highlights, relax, and eat well. We enjoy getting ready for dinner and heading out for a nice meal at the end of the day.

Not everyone is like that, many people like to stick with counter service because it's quicker than table. Just have to figure out your priorities =)

We always eat a big breakfast and then a big dinner. Between the two meals we just graze around the park eating snack foods like ice cream, popcorn, pretzels, etc.

When we go, it's always so hot and I don't want lunch. It's to much food in one day and then I'm nauseous (sp?) in the heat.

When at WDW I usually only have two meals a day. Usually an early lunch and then dinner around 6pm (but no later than 7pm). I have a snack, again usally an ice cream (soft swirl, not hard) sometime mid-afternoon. Occasionally I will have a very small bowl of oatmeal at the resort before I start the day (I bring oatmeal from home, get the hotwater from the resort restaurant and use their bowls and brown sugar.)
On the days I have a full breakfast, it is a character breakfast: again usually before 9am, and then dinner.
I usually carry powerbars with me, just in case my sugar goes up or down as I am a diabetic.

We usually grab a little something with our morning coffee (bagel, etc.), have a big late lunch, then a smaller meal later in the evening.
