I just dont get this ticket thing! Ok if I buy a park hopper for 3 days and have 2 adults + 2 kids does that mean that each of us needs to buy a $150 ticket? So for example it would be $500 for 4 ppl?? Or does one adult ticket cover like 2 adults or something?

No, Disney just made it confusing by doing it with so many options!

Yes, you have to have a separate ticket for each member of your party.

Then you decide how many days, whether you want to park hop, or whether you want the tickets to expire 14 days from first time using them.

It's enough to give a person a headache! :badpc:

Good Luck Deciding which tix to get!

Each person needs their own ticket. So you would need 2 Adults tickets and 2 kids tickets providing they are under 10yrs. If the kids are 10 yrs and up they are classified as an adult and then they would require an adult ticket. Park Hopper Tickets are only good if you plan on going to more than one park per day. ie. MK in the morning than hop over to Epcot at night. If you plan on doing just one park per day than don't bother buying the park hopper.

Monie, I think you are looking for tickets for Disneyland. There are some ways to save on Disney passes. If you belong to CAA, they often have specials on Disney tickets - a 3-day Hopper Pass is about $20 cheaper than the gate price. They also have specials at different times during the year where adults pay the children's price and other promotions. If you are planning to go to other attractions in Southern California, a California City Pass is a great way to save money. With the City Pass you get a 3-day Hopper Pass for Disneyland, one day at Universal Studios, one day at Sea World in San Diego, and admission to the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park. The cost of the City Pass is only about $40 more than the 3-Day Hopper Pass alone. You can get the City Pass at a discounted price at CAA and through Costco (maybe other places too, but those are two I know of).

If you are looking for ticket information try looking at Ticketmania.com. They will list all the options available, their discounted price as well as the gate prices. If you plan on returning to Disney someday you may want to consider buying a longer pass and adding the non-expiry option. You can figure out the numbers either way using this website. If you have time you may want to sign up for the Mousesaver.com newsletter. She often has links to additional discounts you may not have been aware of.

Hi there!

Disney tickets are expensive when you first look at them. I know!!! :confused3

However, I have learned over the past couple of years, how to use them... and how they make sense.

Each park... for one entry is around $60 USD, give or take a few dollars. That is for an adult, I haven't paid attention to the kids prices unfortunately.

So, if you think about it... I'm not sure if you have been to DisneyWorld before, but each park is like Canada's Wonderland where I believe the admission is about $50 CDN. So, with 4 parks, with the Disney Passes, yes they are pricey, but you are getting a deal. :wizard:

I have found that the Park Hopper Option is only necessary if you want to visit more than 1 park in a day, which is really tiring to do, especially with 2 kids, I'm 22, and we never get that Option.

The No Expiration Option is valuable if you are getting a 10 day ticket and are spreading it over say... 2 or 3 trips.

The Water Park option is a good one. We always have gotten this. It gives you admission to 2 or more water parks (depending on the number of days purchased), or Pleasure Island, or DisneyQuest... depending on how long you are staying for... this COULD be a good value to you. If you just want to visit the parks, don't get it.

The past two years, we have actually spent more on tickets than on accomodation. It can be hard to swallow, but very much worth it. Let me know if you want any other help with your trip :goodvibes

Thanks for the clarification! Yes Wonderland is crazy expensive compared to WDW. I thought the parks were closer to each other, with 2 kids and twins I really wont be doing more than 1 park per day!! LOL what is the best park to go though? I was thinking MK just because the pics with the castle mean WDW.

I'm really really happy I could help :cool1:

MK is definitely THE park to go to. The parks are probably a 10-15 minute from one another. Consider each park as being the same size as Wonderland, but way more fun.

I also really enjoy Epcot and MGM as well. I am one of those people that doesn't really like Animal Kingdom as much. However, I would recommend everyone trying it once, and I am of course going back for a third time this year... so it isn't that bad. :goodvibes

If you can do all 4, do it. I would recommend for this a 4 day base ticket, for each of you. And, if you have additional time... Typhoon Lagoon is amazing (gate price is $35?, and it is approx. $45 to add the "water park option" to your ticket which would include other options). It is unlike any other water park I have been to. I haven't had the privledge of being to Blizzard Beach but will this year... it was shut down last year at my time of travel. :wizard:
