More like...maybe if I think happy Disney thoughts, the trip will happen!
Hi everybody! My name is Nina
Welcome to the pre-trip report for a trip I'm not even sure will happen, but the miraculous has happened before for me!
Here's a little backstory: Last year around this time, I had the notion to hop a plane with my daughter (who was only 18 months at the time) and stay at Disney around December to see the New Fantasyland open. My best friend would meet me at the airport since she lives only an hour and a half from Orlando. We didn't make it in December, BUT somehow I manage to save up enough money for a plane ticket,2-day resort stay, and food/souvenirs. We made it in mid-January, just in time for my daughter's 2nd birthday.
Here's my TR! Hopping a Plane Alone with a Toddler...yes, I'm crazy!
I was shocked and very proud of myself that I did it! My daughter and I always go to Disney with my folks since they pay for everything save the food, so this made for my 2nd huge Disney accomplishment. The first was when my husband and I went back in April 2010. I spent over a thousand on that trip, but I was also making more money at the time than I am now.
Moving on to this new trip I have in the works....let me introduce the cast!
Me and my husband, Anthony (he is not a Disney person at all...booo). We've been married for 4 1/2 years.
Our daughter, Cadence (Cady for short!) who is 2 1/2 right now. (that's my dad in the pic with her)
And we have a new edition to the family due in December! We're having another girl! We haven't decided on a name yet, but I can't wait to meet our new little baby girl. Cady is so excited to be getting a sister.
Here's my plan:
I'd like to go to Disney sometime in mid-October of next year. We can hit the MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival. We'll most likely stay at Pop Century since that's our "home" resort. I'd like to have 3 park days. I'm thinking about doing just base tickets to save money, and maybe using the MNSSHP ticket for MK access. My DH hates MK, so maybe he can go do something else with the baby while Cady and I do the party.
That's all the plans I have so far. I've been pricing tickets and guesstimating how much things will cost. So far I've rounded it off to $1500 (not including souvenirs and gas). I'm hoping to get an amazing 30% off code like I received last year. I got my Pop room in January for $80 a night! SCORE!
Maybe the same luck will happen again this year.
I'm trying to start a home business before the baby is born. I clean houses right now, and though it was good money, it's not anymore because I've lost so many houses due to having to be home with Cady. I'm afraid I won't be able to clean houses at all with the new baby coming. So, really hoping for an online job or something to pop up soon! I'm searching.
In the meantime, I'll keep pricing and planning and hoping it all works out! Wish me luck
