We leave 1-day 14 hours. everything is packed, rooms and air reservation confirmed. rental car, & park tickets all purchased, ADRs made. planning is done. I just said to my wife....where we gonna stay next year? her reaction "OMG!" :rotfl2: either I have a problem and need an intervention or she just doesn't get it :confused3 :lmao: ... but seriously I'm thinking we should try VWL;)

I swear, I'm looking in the mirror. :rotfl2:
Right now we have planned:
7 day land/sea plus three nights at a DVC in October 2007
7 night stay Oct 2008 at AKV in 2BR with my parents
looking for a way to spend 320 pts between the two trips (with April Vegas trips already planned due to DH's conference!!!)

So my thing is: where am I staying in Oct 07 for three nights (have ressies for SS, but want to stay elsewhere!) then where am I spending my 320 pts next year-possibly President's week)

Life is rough....when you're an addict!:rotfl:

I try very very hard not to say things like that to my family! DH just says "you take care of our DVC vacations, I just enjoy them!"

And yes, do try VWL next year, that's a great idea!!!

Bobbi:banana:

Wow you are worse than us... (in a nice way). We just came back on 2nd of Feb and about half way through our stay we had to go to the reception and ask for a points sheet to work out if we had enough points to bring my sister back before Christmas (we've never done the christmas celebrations)...

we've been (from the Uk) 3 times in the last 18 months...

WE are in the midsts of reserving our second trip (haven't taken the first one yet). We have our next 3 trips all planned. :surfweb: Just have to wait the alloted time to make the call to MS. I have invited different people for each different trip. My DH just does one of these:confused3 and goes with the flow. This is half the fun:dance3:

You certainly aren't alone - the *minute* and I mean the actual *minute* we got back home from our last trip a few days ago, I began planning the next trip. I think planning is almost as fun as going to the parks! :)

We just returned yesterday from BWV, already have an Oct. trip planned with my parents at OKW, and Friday night at dinner at the Biergarten my SIL and I started discussing what would be the trip after that, when our families would be going together again. We're thinking VWL too, and my BIL and SIL would stay at the WL. My DH thinks I need a Disney support group, but he's also the one who on this trip decided we should buy more points!

in 2001 we bought into DVC after a wk at the WL
in 2002 wk in wdw
in 2003 wk on the Disney Magic
in 2004 we had a week in Oct
in 2005 DS and I had our first two week vacation in Aug
in 2006 I took a week in March and then our two week vacation in Aug

This year I have a wk booked in April, DS & I a week in Aug and then I have another wk booked for Nov.

I am bad about about having 2 trips going on at the same time. VWL is a good choice.

Just got back from a December trip with my mom and have three planned within the next 11 months.
Taking the grandchildren by myself in May..
Going back with mom and my two sisters in October for Food & Wine in a Boardwalk view room..
Going for our first New Year's Eve on Dec 30 - Jan 6 with daughter and her family.
Will reserve May 2008 in June of this year for another trip with grandkids.

We just did an add-on at VB, now I have to figure out what to do with the 320 points that I had planned to use at SSR for Spring Break 2008.

Okay, you are not alone.

We had a trip, in a GV at OKW   , in Nov. Invited a bunch of family, had a great time.

Got home. Didn't have anything on the books. had this real uneasy, not to settled feeling (You know the one ). Talked with Dh.

Now we have our Oct 07 trip reserved with our SSR points, even though I'm planning on changing it at the 7 month window. Felt all better after that.

And now we have also decided to invite another couple with us. :woohoo: :woohoo:

And I've already started thinking about 2008. I want to do a Adventure by Disney trip to Wyoming and a HH trip with my nieces from North Carolina. but wait, that means there will be no WDW trip :confused3 :confused3
We'll have to wait and see if that really happens!

Yes, it get's pretty sad sometimes!

I remember our first trip home to BWV. We'd just put the kids now for a nap and were sitting on our balcony looking out at the lake and enjoying a drink. We took a deep breath and sighed in happiness. I then said something that I will never, ever say again,

"Wow, now that we're here, I feel like the fun is half over!"

I honest to goodness though my husband was going to throw me off the balcony and into the lake.

:guilty:

LOL that's the way I feel! It's like I am counting the days until we leave, but I think that sometimes help me realize how short of a time we have there and how much I should appreciate and take time to take it all in as we go. :cloud9:

We just got back Feb. 5th and the only thing that kept DD and myself from not crying on our way out of WDW was that we already have a Nov. '07 trip planned at BWV and a week at HHI in August. And I already have several scenerios for our '08 points!!

BTW - VWL is a great resort. We loved our stay there and will definetly be back!!

I know how you feel.

We are going for 12nights in May(VWL,BWV)

We are booked 8 nights at SSR for New Years.

We have the 15 night Westbound Repo from FL to CA booked.

Now I am trying to talk my wife into skipping cheerleading pratice the week before there State Finals. Hey she is only the Assistant Coach.;) and 2 1/2 months until our next stay is to far off. :rotfl:

Isn't Disney fun:)

If you couldn't plan your next trip, what fun would there be in being the planner?

I'm currently planning two trips to Orlando, a trip to London, one to Williamsburg, another in downtown Baltimore and some smaller ones to the beach. In the meantime, I dream up what I'll do next year. It keeps me sane during the long, cold winter months.

What I hate is when you come up with a great idea and your travel buddies give you the hand. Heavens sakes, who doesn't enjoy dreaming of that vacation they'll take in 2-3 years?:confused3

I've got "plan-itis", too!
We just returned from WDW on 1/31, and not only is Nov.'s F & W trip booked, but on my yahoo calendar, I have "reminder" dates for me to call MS for next Jan, and the following F & W trip. (Thanks, Caskbill :thumbsup2 ).
Conclusion: "plan-itis" is a side effect of "add-on-itis"! :rotfl:

Luckily for me, my wife shares my "plan-itis". It makes for a fun "run" up to the actual trips. :)

But seriously, you HAVE to start planning about a year in advance, right? I mean....with DVC, you need to use the 11 month booking window to your advantage if you're staying home...and be on the ball at the 7 if you're not. How can you possibly know when to call if you don't know where you're staying, right? Right!!??

OK, I'm rationalizing the addiction now, aren't I?
