Maybe a dumb question but...is a gratuity expected on a DCL shore excursion?

I thought perhaps since they are so overpriced that maybe a gratuity is included??? I got to thinking about it and I have tipped other tour operators but having never been on a cruise line excursion, I do not know what is customary. Feel free to educate me, not flame me.

Not a dumb question at all!! We went on 2 shore excursions on our last cruise and the guides on both indicated pretty frequently that they accepted gratuities.
