Looking for feedback about the Maya Grill at CSR for dinner. DH and I have ADR's for this restaurant the first night we are at WDW. I have only seen comments regarding the breakfast, but am interested in dinner comments. :confused3 Good, Bad or whatever....any feedback would be great. I have read the menu and it seems good but I just want to know about the food preparation, service, atomsphere etc.

Sooooo...comments please, as I am a little on the boarder with this reservation and actually thinking about making a reservation for someplace different! Reassure me please!!! :confused3

Thanks everyone,

Heather

We ate there last July and the food was really good. You can see the chef preparing the food because there is a large window that shows the kitchen. I can't remember what my husband ordered. I had the grilled chicken and it was delicious.

Back in 2002, I had the filet mignon. It was the best I ever had. The service was wonderful! I don't remember exactly what DH had, but I think it was fish. He liked what he had, too. Go for it!!

Hello Folks,

I am assuming that not alot of people eat at this restaurant, or not very many people who are on the "DIS" have eaten at the Maya Grill...I am confused! :confused3

I think I am going to cancel this ADR, maybe I will try it some other time.

Anyone else with any feedback would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsup2

Thanks Heather

It has been a few years since eating there, I thought at the time that it is one to the better dining experiances I had at WDW... I hope that hasn't changed I plan to be dining there the first week in July. I plan to give a report when I get home after July 17th.

Looking forward to your reviews!! popcorn::

Have a grand trip. :yay:

I have asked why we dont get alot of info on Maya Grill and the main reason is it is kinda off the beaten path meaning its not close to the parks so you cant leave the park do it quickly and go back to the park and its not located in the park so for alot of people its just not convient. But My DBF and I are going down in August for the free dining and this is one that we are trying out. Hopefully because it is off the beate path it might be a nice not so noisey meal. I cant wait to try it.

Perhaps I will just keep this reservation and give it a whirl. We are staying at CSR for our September vacation, might just as well eat at the resort!

Thanks for the comment and feedback.

We really enjoy Maya Grill. We have even made a trip over for dinner when we were not staying at CSR.

I think that was one of the main reasons I was wanting to try it out. Also I was able to glance at the menu (from another site) and thought the fare sounded fantastic. I never hear anything about it though....a bit frustrating.

Hmmmm. Before I seem to have read a lot of neg. stuff about Maya Grill, but this thread is really positive! We will be staying at CSR so maybe we'll check it out after all. I think it's one of the less expensive breakfast buffets. Not sure if I want to use a TS credit on it but it might be worth doing OOP. :)

Thanks! Looking forward to your reviews when you get back.

It's been 12 years since I've eaten there, and at the time I was not very impressed. however, I've heard that the menu has completely changed and they have increased server training, and family members who have eaten there since have gioven it high marks. It was a very nice place though, quiet and very sophisticated without you feeling out of place if you're dragging yourself in after a long day at the parks.

Thanks for some more feedback regarding this restaurant. I have decided not to cancel our Sept. ADR. Will give my reviews then! Looking forward to it!

We are staying at CSR in late August and have an ADR while we are there. I'll be sure to post a review when I return. :)

My DH and I ate there at the end of April and it was a great meal! So much so we plan to go back in August. I had a steak which was cooked perfect and oh soooo good! For an app I had the caribbean chicken rolls which were so good I wrote for the recipe.
I recommend it highly!

BTW....we weren't even staying at CSR. I don't remember why I chose it but I did and I'm glad!

My family got really sick when staying at CSR. The only chicken soup that I could find for my son was at Maya Grill. They don't do take-out, but one of the CMs went above and beyond to help me out. He packaged up two bowls of soup and gave them to me free!!!! Because of this, we plan to try Maya on our next trip.

When I stopped in to pick-up the soup the restaurant was packed! They were turning people away at the podium. I think they may get a lot of convention people eating there.
