May Waitlist Success! BWV

Last month we got some $34 airfares on Southwest for May. At that time we had the option of VWL, OKW & SSR. I really wanted to stay at BWV so we waitlisted and today it came throught for a pool/garden view.

This was our first waitlist and it was definately worth trying!

We love our home resort at SSR and plan to stay there most of the time, but I've always wanted to try BWV.

Congratulations! That's great news. I'm still waiting for mine for April 29-May 5th for a BWV, studio. Hope I'm doing the happy dance like you soon.

Lucky you! We're booked at VWL but have waitlisted BWV or BCV for May 13-19th. I'm jealous!

That's so exciting! We just got back from a stay there (our waitlist for a boardwalk view studio came through three days out from our arrival).

I must warn you, though. Once you stay there you might just want to OWN there as well. We're looking into it now.

We love our home resort SSR also! DH and I were able to book a BW view studio for May at the 7 month window. We are going May 13-21! Maybe we will see you there!

I am taking my sister, May 14 - 17th for her Bachelorette. I have a reservation at SSR and am waitlisted for BCV (studio and 1 bdrm). I want to swim at Storm Along Bay so badly.

I wish I could get a $34 SW reservation. Unfortunately, we are governed by the Wright amendment and can only fly SW from Dallas to connecting states.

I wish I could get a $34 SW reservation. Unfortunately, we are governed by the Wright amendment and can only fly SW from Dallas to connecting states.

I know that SW is working hard to change the Wright amendment. When SW started out of BWI our airfares dropped dramatically. I'm sure AA would not be happy if the "Southwest effect" came to Dallas.

Congratulations! BWV is our home. We have not been members long and Oct. will be our first trip home. Our waitlist (I didn't call right at the 11 month window) just opened up for the rest of our stay in a Boardwalk view studio. We are so excited!!!!

By the way...did I see that right $34 airfares???? Wow!!!!

I think you stand a chance. You've still got quite a bit of time. Of course, it does depend on how many people are ahead of you on the list. Are any of your nights available for a boardwalk view? I had the 1st two nights of my trip booked in a boardwalk view and the last night was preferred (I only booked three weeks out, though). Two days before we left our final night came through. Just remember, at 7 days out the waitlist goes away and you can all day-by-day to check for availability (and you'll want to call several times a day). What happened with us, was that I had called every day and then when I called that final day MS told me that someone at the resort had already confirmed us for a boardwalk view for that 3rd night. I guess that they (the folks at the resort) saw that we had two nights in a boardwalk view already and figured we'd appreciate that 3rd night. That's why I asked if any of your nights were available. If you book some of the nights, you might be able to get the remaining nights close to your arrival date. HOWEVER, if you take that chance, you could also have to be changing rooms several times if things don't come through (but with just the two of you, that might not be too bad). I, personally, felt that our boardwalk view was WELL WORTH IT!

Yes, you can--assuming the member is willing to help you out with this. Just have the member you are renting from call MS and have them place you on the waitlist. You can be placed on multiple waitlists at multiple resorts as well. For example, you can waitlist at BWV, BCV and VWL and take whichever comes through first (and then remain on the other waitlists if your top pick didn't come through first).
