is there a better week in the month of May 2018 to go. is beginning better then end of month, etc. is there any week to avoid, i know memorial weekend is one to avoid. thanks for any help you can provide

I've gone the first week in May and it was great for both crowds and weather.

We went the 1st weekend in May and it was wonderful. Great crowd levels, good weather. 1st 3 weeks of May I don't think you can go wrong.

We've done each week in May, and the first two have been the best. The last week was manageable with a good plan, but way busier than the first two.

We've gone in May several times. Early May is definitely less crowded, but Memorial Day week isn't bad either. Even with Pandora opening Memorial Day weekend this year, the rest of the parks weren't too bad at all!

Later may you might have a better chance of seeing toy story land if that is something that interests you

Our last trip was this past May 21-28 and it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. We usually go the first week of May and got just as much done in the parks as we usually do. I think I would still pick early May though because the weather is slightly cooler and there isn't usually a lot of rain.

I went solo the first week of May this year. It was awesome! I wish I could go that week every year.

This should be of help from Dave's site.

I like the first two weeks of May. We've been a number of times. Gorgeous weather and crowds have been manageable.

With Toy Story Land rumored to be opening at DHS next May, I'd say that the least crowded week in May 2018 will be the week before that opens. But we don't know yet the exact dates. I'd assume that earlier in the month will be slower because people start flocking to WDW in huge droves when school gets out.

Our favorite thing about our May trip was the lack of rain, we almost made it the full trip without a single drop of rain! We went the second week and found the crowds were just ok, which we were surprised by since we kept hearing how great the crowds are in May. Some parks we found to be a lot worse crowd-wise than our trip in September, but we also somehow ended up being at all the parks that the large groups of cheerleaders were at, so that didn't help. Also to note, it seems a lot of local schools do field trips around that time, on our AK day we counted so many different schools there, which combined with the multiple groups of cheerleaders made for the worst crowds we've seen at AK in years.

I did notice the week after we were there, the wait times listed in MDE were less than the week we were there, so it seems we just went the bad week in May this year!

We've gone in late May (incl. Memorial Day weekend) five times and don't feel the crowds are that bad as everyone says.
We have had virtually no rain on our trips (which is why we keep going back in May), except this year, when we had a couple afternoons with severe and prolonged thunderstorms but that was it.

Our trip started on May 19,DH and I flew 4 adult grandkids in and stayed at BWV...On Monday May 22 the other adults arrived 4 more adult grandkids with their parents...we then moved into two- 2bd rm villas(across from each other at the same resort..)...

We didnt do any parks at Disney until Tues and Thursday....MK and Epcot....one the the family of 4 also went to DHS on Wed.....spent time at DS...visited other resorts ...I alone made all the fp's for each day....at their request...we had dinner reservations most nites...sometimes for 6 (Yatchtsman and Cape May )of us and a few times for 14...(Marakeesh and Tratorria al forno.. we all left on Friday 26th...
.
We did this schedule because we had to wait till most of the grandkids were done with their college semester.....the crowds were manageable if you plan...
