Hi Guys,
It's been a while since I posted last. Thank goodness we didn't book a trip for DH's 40th as I've been ill with flu, chest and ear infection :sad2: Anyhow, hopefully I am on the mend now and we are planning a May trip instead.

Are there any dates we should avoid in may ie school hols etc? Our local school hols are from the 26th May for a week, so we were considering one of the middle two weeks??

Any thoughts/recommendations?
It is also on my mind that the later we leave it the better the weather may be....

Thanks in advance,

Ali :goodvibes

Me and my other half were going to go in May, but every hotel was fully booked. You might need to check avaliability before getting your hopes up.

Hope this helps a bit

We were planning on staying offsite at the marriot village....

Didn't even think to re-check availability :rotfl:

Ali.

I know the day we go had no holidays listed- May 19 (and I think that whole week was good; but Friday the 16th is Ascension I believe).

Our local schools have that week off too, I think all the UK have those dates.

I would imagine the middle weeks of May will be fairly quiet but there's links in The Very Useful Info sticky to school holidays and French Public Holidays so you can check. :)

Hope you are feeling better soon.

We are going 4th - 10th May because our daughter's school is off that week (we live in N Ireland), but I have been checking and don't think that this is the case in other countries. Now I am a bit worried to hear that all the hotels are fully booked so I don't think the parks will be quiet.:sad2:

Thanks for your replies.

I agree Karen, that was my first thought too but I guess that May is kind of the first month of 'better' weather and so quite popular :confused3

Anyhoo, I've just had a load more work placed on already full plate (having had almost 4 weeks off ill) so I think somewhere around the third week would suit us best and give me a chance to catch up!!!!

Will let you know once we have decided/booked and thanks again.
