May UY?

I just bought into AK this week and was told I had a May UY. I've noticed that in very brief reading around here that May never gets mentioned. Is this new or was I told something wrong?

I don't think there is any such thing as a May use year...

There is no January, May, July or November use year. I guess to simplify accounting.

Thanks Tammy and Debbie. It's a June UY. I just talked to my rep and I simply misunderstood. At least I'm stright on it now.

Others who purchased AKV recently have reported getting a June UY with an occupancy date of May 1, 2009, meaning that their AKV points cannot be used for a stay that begins any earlier than that date. Maybe you are confusing your occupancy date (May 1, 2009) with your UY (June)?

I bet that's exactly what happened, Lisa. So much was happening so fast that I'm sure I just got confused.

The current incentive being offered at AKV with the SSR points for the first year, the June 2008 AKV points included but not usable until May 2009, etc. is one of the more confusing offerings in the three years I've been on the DVC boards so it's no surprise that it takes a while for the details to sink in. And by the way, Welcome Home!
