Hi

I am thinking of booking a 4 night stay at DLRP in May. We will be departing on the 27th May.

What are the crowds like compared to August. We went last August and it was really busy and had many problems getting on rides and fast passes running out.

If not we may be able to go in June. I dont really want to take my daughter out of school.

Any feed back would be great. :thumbsup2

We usuall go the 1st week in June, I used to work in a primary school & our authority has 2 weeks at Spring Bank for primary. Had no guilt at taking my kids out for an extra week but I realise this is a matter of personal opinion.

Much quieter in June than August, never had a problem getting on rides. But shorter park hours & prob NO fireworks.

I don't think may half term will be as bad as August .

if you can manage June there is new attractions opening in the studios on June 10th, and the High School Musical is on at the studios starts from the 16th of June if your DD is a fan of the film.

As August is also French holidays I'd imagine that it would be the busiest of the periods :)

We have been both May half term and August.

May was quieter than August, but still had to make best use of fastpasses and getting in the park early. The actual May Bank holiday Monday was by far the quietest day of our stay.

We also had high temperatures for both visits, other people I know have not been as lucky in the May half term.

If I was choosing, and I so wish I was, I'd go May:cool1:

I found August to be crowded. Hard at times to get around with so many people. It would not stop us going again at that time of year. Expect it to be crowded and get to the parks early and try and to get your fast passes first. Unlike WDW we were able to reserve more fast passes within two lands so we tried to get around this way.

Although it was very busy it wasn't as bad as I expected. It was very hot!! we got to the parks in time for opening and having 3 young children headed to our favourite rides in Fantasyland first, then Pirates, and used fastpasses. Fastpasses can run out very early especially Peter Pan - but the parks are open later and you get fireworks:cool1:

Quick question - since will also be part of the group going in August. You can get more than 1 fastpass per 2 hours ???? :confused3

Yep, DLRP is unique in that you can carry a Fastpass for each Fastpass ride at the same time. :goodvibes

I have been the first weekend of the may whitsun holiday for the last 2 years and although it is busy it is certainly manageable. My reccomendations are get up early and use the fast passes and you would be fine.
We were also there the 3rd week in August last year and it was not as bad as we expected.
