May or Oct half term???

HI we are looking at going either the week before & including the May or Oct half term but not sure which one would be better to go for

anyone know if the weather is better / queues less/ are the americans on the same half terms as us????

Ive been several times in Oct and i love that time of year!!

Weathers lovely! Crowds are low and you also have the Halloween party happening!

I've never been in May so can't compare the two but Oct is great. The weather is usually very warm during the day and often during the evening as well although once or twice we did need a jumper for the evenings, the rain was minimum. As Laura said you also have Mickey's Not So Scarey Haloween Party (MNSSHP). This is a separate ticket event which is great fun and lots of people get dressed up for it. You also have the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot, this can make Epcot that bit more busy but it's worth visiting.

The parks can be busy in October but in my opinion not excessively so.

Hi. We've been in May and loved it, the weather was brilliant. Were going again this year but as half term is at the end of May out holiday overruns into June. Can't wait not long now

I think you are on a winner with which ever dates you choose

Having been in May I can highly recommend it for good weather and reasonable crowds but October does seem very attractive too. Unfortunately the schools here don't get a break in May but we are looking at the end October for this year. Mind you I would really like to go in July as it is a lot sooner

We'd choose October. May/June can be excessively warm and humidity is starting to be an issue. Also it can rain more in May in my experience.

We have been both times of year, May had rain every afternoon, rarely see any in Ocober. Also worth going just to see everywhere done up for Halloween.

Very little difference weather wise, both times will be hot but not oppressive like the summer months and crowds similar too.

Most people generally would agree that October is the ideal month to go, there is plenty going on at the parks without them being excessively busy.

Either time won't dissapoint as both months are very good times to visit for average crowds levels and nice weather.

We have been many different times of the year and Oct always is the best good weather , not to busy , great Halloween activities just fab .

We were there last October/November and it was brilliant BUT one thing I would point out is that it's utterly depressing coming back home to rain and dark nights when the holiday ends. I swear it nearly killed me. Seriously, if you go in May at least you'll have summer nights to look forward to. Just saying.

We have done both the half terms and definately preferred October to May. May seemed too wet and too busy.

We have done both May and October, were going back May/June next year but we would also go back in October too. The isn't much rain in October but in our opinion the crowds were no smaller than when we went in May I'm sure you will have a great time whenever you choose to go.

I love going in October. It is not too hot and not so busy either.
There's also the bonus of the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot too, which I love.

And the Halloween celebrations too !!

Have done late sept/ oct and its good, low crowds etc.
but i ended up wasting a fortune on summer clothes, as they didnt fit by the next year and the kids like to have new things for hols, this year they have all new for our may/ june hols and they can wear them all when they get back in the summer! no waste
