Just tried to book my first reservation for a vacation just booked today for May. Booking for Crystal Place and in bright yellow it says "your party may not all be seated together" or something to that effect. Is that a default thing because of the party size or is this something I need to be sincerely concerned about?

yes it is a default thing dur to your party size. You should not worry about it. I was there a few weeks ago and had to make all my ressies for a larger party and all my ressies were given that same message. However we had no issues with any ressie.

I haven't had it happen to me, but have known of other people with parties who have been split up and sat at two separate tables. If you aren't comfortable with that possibility, then I'd make a reservation elsewhere.

Great thanks! I didn't imagine with a party of 5 it would be a big issue, I usually travel solo so I'm ok with sitting at another table but I figure it'lll be easier for them to add another chair than lose a whole table for one person, lol. Just wanted to check that it isn't a major issue at all times. Thanks!!

Hopefully your experience is better than mine, but we went to the Crystal Palace for Thanksgiving, and it was terrible. Dry turkey, pasty gravy, etc. I would not go there again.

Sorry you had such a bad experience! We're going for breakfast and I'm of the thought that it's hard to screw up bacon so hopefully we luck out!

We are a family of 5, and have always been seated together. Also, Crystal Palace is our favorite! No trip is complete without a visit to see Pooh and friends!

Have you ever had Disney bacon? They can screw it up :lmao:. The rest of the breakfast foods at CP are really yummy though!

I've gotten that message for nearly ADR I've ever booked for 5 or more (and as a family of 5 that likes the DxDDP, that's a LOT), but we've never been split up.

Amusingly, someone once posted on here about getting that message for a party of 1. That could get messy...

I have only had my party split up twice. Once, it was a party of 9 at CP and once it was a party of 10 at 1900 Park Fare. In a way, it is kind of nice as it provides for lots of candid photo ops.

I booked a ressie at Rose and Crown this week and got that message - there are only 3 of us - we have eaten here before and I'm not at all worried about this.

We are traveling with a group of 12 and got that message for all of our reservations. If they do split us up, do they still seat you close together?

I have received this same warning when I make a reservation for just myself. If they do split me up I hope the tables are adjoining, so I can keep myself together.

If the tables are far apart it may upset the other diners, because my blood and guts will be spilled all over the restaurant, making a very disgusting mess.

Lol, this thread is humorous~ We are going the first week in January with a large party and have several meals planned together. It will be interesting to see how they seat us~

We were split up as a group of 8, and they put us at tables right next to each other. And when you think about how close most of the restaurant tables are, you are still pretty darned close. Still within talking distance.

Oh, and to the poster who commented about them adding another chair to a table to fit their party size, that is fairly impossible to do at WDW restaurants. The tables are packed in tightly, and there is simply no room to just add a chair to most tables. Still, the odds of being split up are slim.

WE have gone several times with a large party (7) and only once did we get split up.

We went in September with a party of 17 at CP and they split us up. We had 3 different tables and they were all right next to each other. We were able to take pictures with the characters together. They know you want to be together so they will seat you as close as possible.

Another vote of confidence...we are a party of 5 and have never been split up (knock on wood!) I get that message for at least 3 ADRs every trip :)

We had that message on almost all of our ressies in Sept with a party of 8 and were never split up. CP was one of our dinners too.
