Hi all... I might not be able to go on our June trip due to personal reasons.. I just wondered if anyone had ever cancelled OR transferred a booking into someone elses name entirely before and what happened? Is it a big hassle/do Disney moan over it? If I do that, no-one who is originally on the booking will be going, if I am able to find someone else to take it.

We've got flights booked with BA as well and a hotel in Val D'Europe for the night before and i'm 99% sure they are both not refundable or transferable :(

I'm gutted but I just don't think we can go.. The price I got was such a bargain - £643 for 4 nights in Sequoia :( :(

You can alter it free of charge providing your new package is of equal or higher value.

Sorry to hear you might not be able to go. I have heard of people being allowed to change their dates so you might want to try that?

I hope you can alter it and use it at a later date- fingers crossed
Try BA about the flights, hopefully you can change them as well

So sorry to hear this :(.

My DH used to fly a lot with BA, commuting to and from work, as we were paying we tried to book them as cheap as possible (not often easy with BA!). They were non refundable etc but if you look at the small print, if you were to cancel, you often just lose taxes, not the actual cost of the flight. Sometimes however, on a £100 return flight, £70 will be taxes (the non refundable bit!).

It's worth looking at though as you might get something back.

Do you have travel insurance? Is it something you could claim on if you have a 'reason' they will allow? :confused3

I'm fairly sure Happy Panda recently changed her Dad's name to her Brother's on her last trip. It was very last minute too - two days before or something. You could try pm'ing her for details.

Finally, if you are ringing Disney, I'd try the French number before the UK one. They seem more sympathetic/amenable on many things.

Good luck sorting out something x

We can gooo!!!!

OH recently got a new job starting today- its a very good job and if it was going to cause a problem with the job, the job would come first. so we thought he may not be able to take time off. but it seems his boss is actually very nice and said it was no problem! :D:D

Kittina - that is amazing news! So pleased for you. Whoo hooo - now you can get on with all the lovely planning :dance3:.
