Almost a decade ago I had walking pneumonia for 6 months. I rented a scooter during this time after a lot of thought about it. I had zero negative experience. And yes I was overweight too.
People were so kind and helpful. This was also a solo trip so I had no one to help me.
It made all the difference in the world and allowed me to do so much that I would not have been able to do. I am thankful that was finally determined to be a temporary condition.
