Ok, I thought of a reason this isn't off-topic! Last year dh and I watched part of Game 5 up in the ESPN bar. We went to the room and went to bed (he says now he wanted to watch it, but I wouldn't let him).
Two days later, he finds out it went to 7 games and the OTHER team won. He was so irked that the game we were watching ended up going the other way and then the other team won.
Thankfully the World Series will be over this year before we board!
And it just goes to show, that while on board, minor "important" things are forgotten. Weather (it's always perfect at sea lol), time changes (they'll keep you informed), news (which can be a good thing to "escape" from), and sports (there's always another game/year)
