Saw on the Resorts board that it looks like Free Dining will be offered beginning May 9th for stays between September 2 and 25.

We will be going last week in August, so hopefully that means not too much craziness at the restaurants :thumbsup2

I don't know if I believe those dates as someone else posted those are the dates for FD for European and South America residents which aren't always the same as US offers, time will tell ;)

A friend was just able to book BLT one bedroom last week of August as a cash stay, four months from now. Normally BLT is sold out in one or two bedrooms way in advance

Those dates look comparable to last years. They have been knocking off a few days every year. Soon it will be no more.

Rats!! We are checking in on Sept 17 and leaving the 28th.

I really hate Free Dining. :headache:

I'm confused....why do you hate it? :)

Free Dining and the Dining Plans in general are considered to have ruined Disney dining. Dumbing down menus with mediocre food.

Going during free dining means the hotels are full of people taking advantage of the promotion. The restaurants are full and that means that I have to make ADRs way in advance to pay full price (with TIW) for the same food they are getting for "free". I guess I'm just pouting. LOL

Free dining has been a real win for Disney, filling hotels during slower times especially in the last several years during a bad economy.

The biggest problem I saw with FD(when extended through the fall), was the abuse of making multiple ADR's by the FD crowd(would boast about it over on another DIS board section).
