There is a possibility of us making an short, impulsive Universal trip in early May. My husband and I may either take the kids (in which case we would be at the parks over the weekend) or go it alone (in which case we would go during the week). How are the crowds in May, both during the week and weekends? I realize weekends will be more crowded, but what kind of wait times could we expect (staying offsite)? TIA

We visited in early May, 2003 and didn't think the parks were crowded at all. Of course, weekends are a little more crowded than weekdays, but overall the crowds were pretty low.

May tends to be a moderately busy month. What that translates to is a general 30 minute or less wait time for the popular attractions-Hulk, Spider-Man, JPRA, MIB, Shrek, Mummy. Waits could be more or less, obviously. :p

We found the beginning of May to be perfect. Weather was great and the crowds were very managable.
