Just looking for info on crowds the first week of May. usually go in Sept. and the crowds are not bad.

Crowds will be relatively light. I would take May over September every single time. The weather is so much better.

May for sure - My husband and I were just there this year for our anniversary first week in May and it was wonderful. Weather was great! Warm during the day, but cool at night. The crowds weren't too bad either. There was a cheer-leading competition going on, but it really didn't affect anything. Ride lines were OK for walk-on, but we planned FAST PASSES accordingly so got to everything we wanted to. Have a great time!

Early May is our favorite time of the year to go to WDW. Crowd levels are good this time of year. Not the lowest overall, but completely manageable.

Early May & early October are my favored times of year for FL. Weather and crowds work for my family then. We had to move to the middle two weeks of May and are a bit bummed as our experience shows each week closer to June getting noticeably busier...

We were there the first 2 weeks of May last year and found the crowds not to be bad at all and very manageable.

We also found the weather to be wonderful.....80's-90's with lower humidity levels.

I visited for the first time in May this year on my honeymoon and the weather and crowds were amazing. I don't think we waited longer than 15 minutes for any given ride that we wanted to go on without a fast pass. You'll also get flower and garden at Epcot which is amazing with all the colors and the topiaries.

Weather is like what the above poster said 80's to 90's. I was lucky enough to not have any rain surprisingly enough.

Agreed- I did May in 2014(and every trip prior) and September this year...May is an awesome balance between weather and crowds.

When you say weather is cooler in the nights, would it be cool enough for jackets? Or short sleeves are manageable?

I've gone early/mid May and never needed a jacket. Wore shorts everyday. It can get into the 90's. Crowds are not bad except for school groups at Epcot.

Going the second week in May and I'm really looking forward to it! We've never been there in the spring before, just July/Aug. with really large crowds.
