May be going solo for just a day or two

I just found out that I may be going to Orlando for work in November. If I do I'd really like to extend the trip by just a day or two and go to Disney. I'd want to spend as little as possible. I was thinking maybe stay at an all-stars and just go to the MK one day. Or possibly get a park hopper and spend half days at MK and Epcot.

Also - will the ME take you back to the airport if you didn't fly in....only flying out? Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks!

you don't get a discount on park hopper - so the same price for a 1 day ticket vs 10 day ticket.

so would say no to that one - especially if you are trying to save money.

just pick between the MK and Epcot - you will be back.

all stars is not favorite of the value - Pop is - but all stars is cheaper.

think DME will take you back even if they did not bring you - not sure but think you have to go thru a CM to get the system to allow this option.

Actually, starting either for 2012 or 2011 (I don't remember which), the PH option on a 1 day ticket is discounted. It's only $35 instead of ~$57.

For DME, so long as you're staying in a resort, you'll have access. Just call them up and give them the details and they'll set you up no problem. I did it myself in 2009. That same year, I took DME in even though I didn't have a flight in (I flew into Tampa a few days earlier and spent it with Mom, she dropped me off at MCO to meet with my friend who was coming in). The had no problems with my somewhat complicated plans :).

I think getting a park hopper is counterproductive. Just get a one day ticket to save money if that's your concern. Also, since you have a very limited time, you don't want to waste time going from one place to another.

I do this all the time - take DME for the return trip only. Most trips I rent a car when I land as I have family in the area. I usually turn it in at the Dolphin on Sunday, then use DME to get back to the airport mid-week - never had a problem! Just make sure you book ahead of time!

Enjoy!! :goodvibes
