I love all the great info I get on this cruise thread! It makes a newbie like me feel informed. Thanks everyone for your great advice!
Exciting!! I wonder how much of Fantasy Land is going to open up this year. I've read that they plan on opening up sections and then have the grand opening in 2013. The kids and I can't wait for that! It's going to be amazing!

That stinks! That is where Carnival cruises usually get stuck.
Right now we are just happy to say we are going to WDW next month!
Cindy I just bought a 3 pocket FE from gradysmommy![]()
I didn't realize we won't have character breakfast on this cruise.Bummer ... at least for me. DH and DS couldn't care less last time we went. Can't blame a girl for wanting to relive her childhood.
Ok, DH just left for India/Dubai today, and I must confess that I'm a complete nut. I've double-checked all locks, have all my exterior lights on and am planning on sleeping with a bat in my bed. I really, really, really wish that I'm on that cruise now.

Check it out Cindy I figured out how to multi quote.![]()
We will be in WDW starting March 17th!
That's the only time when the dogs get to sleep in my bed! If our 90 lbs. black lab doesn't get them our 3 lbs. toy poodle would tear them limb from limb! Starting with their ear drums first.
I keep going back and forth between buying an FE or making one. I know I could make one, but it would probably cost me just as much to make it as it would to buy it because I'd have to buy the appliques since my sewing machine doesn't do them.

This is our family's first cruise. My dd's will be 13.5 & 9 at cruise time. Of course, my "almost" 14 y/o wants to hang out in with the 14-17 y/o's. What will be the best way for her to check out both kid's clubs to see which is the better fit for her?
My kids are very quiet but are very outgoing once the ice is broken. I just know they are going to love it.
I am glad I found this discussion and can't wait to be able to schedule our activities.![]()
Annabel your DH is leaving for Dubai and mine is coming home from Dubai! We pick him up Sat morning at 5AMYou are too funny sleeping with a bat LOL. I have 3 dogs that would bark if they heard ANYTHING so no one can get to close w/o them barking. Maybe that is why I dont get too scared. How long is he gone?? Oh and I would've loved a character breakfast too! I will be in line with you to see the characters

PIF Also.I can't believe it is three month Thursday. It took forever to talk my husband into a cruise because he is addicted just as much to WDW as me if not more. This will be the first anniversary we have not spent at WDW.
Also does any one have any guesses on dining rotation. I know you find out day you board on the key but I mean as far as regular rotation menu vs special menu.
My guess would be since it is a five night cruise.
Day 1: Regular Menu
Day 2: Regular Menu
Day 3: Regular Menu
Day 4: Pirates Menu
Day 5: Till We Meet Again Menu
What are your opinions on my guess. Is this what you think it will be. Also when are dinner a brunch at Palo's generally offered me and hubby probably wont do Palo but just in case.
We had 2 Labs previously that passed on due to old age. Just like Wildforgoofy, I also let them sleep in my bed when DH had to travel for work back then. I think it got to the point that they didn't really like my DH coming home because they would be relegated to their doggy beds.We are contemplating on adopting another Lab now that DS is a little older and more self-sufficient. It certainly would help on nights like these. DH will be gone 'til this coming Saturday, so my bat and I will be bed-buddies for a while.

I soooo envy those of you who are going to WDW before or after the cruise. We thought we'd wait until October when DS will be 5 before braving it with him. I think I'd like to move to Florida when we retire just so we can go any time we want ... PLUS get all kinds of awesome resident discounts!!
Lainey - Welcome aboard!!! Glad to have ya!
All right. Think my bat and I are going to turn in for the night. You all have a great week!

She will be 14 on July 14th. If there are a bunch of 14 y/o's in the club she'll feel right at home but not if there are a bunch of 17 y/o's, kwim?
Totally agree... most of the time the little ones are more vicious than the big ones.. ESPECIALLY a Lab. When I was a kid a guy broke into our house WHILE my my was home with us. Our Collie stayed with my mom while the Yorkie took off after the guy. Thankfully everyone was fine, including the killer Yorkie
I *think* I might have been able to do a no sew one, but I figured I would just spend the $35 and not deal with it. At the end of the day, I probably wouldnt have saved that much anyways.
