Land and Sea May 8-15th 2003 our first trip as adults with our child to Disney World and our first ever cruise! :smooth:

(A little history I have only been once before around 1979-80 and DW once in the early 80’s both off site stays We are in our mid 30’s now so a lot has changed!)
Day 1:
5/8 2am @ MCO coming from Chicago what a heat wave 95° and 90+% humidity! But a really nice airport, wish things had been open though! We stayed at Holiday inn west for the night as we had planed on getting in 5/7 10pm but those great southwest airlines failed to be on time for us! (Not that all was bad DS7 did get balloon animals made by a balloon artist in Chicago while we waited, and the guy just needed to get home! Did the magic already start? Read on to find out!)
We arrived DW and DS got to bed but I was just to Excited so I proceeded to watch the Disney advertisement channel until I fell asleep! We woke up had a decent cont. b-fast and took their shuttle back to MCO to use our DCL transfers to the Poly.
We got stuck in a Meers van with one other family of three headed to the swan, we watched as the big DCL busses took so many on to their resorts, but we had a very fun driver and the ride was still nice.
The Disney Property was so wonderful to see for the first time through my older eyes! I thought I would remember things but… alas I did not.
We got a glimpse of pop century (it looks kind of cool if not a little gaudy J) and Dropped off the other family at the swan (this looks like a real nice modern Resort almost Vegas style!) and off to the Poly we went.
Arrived at the Poly around 10:30-11 am and had our bags held for us out front by the nicest CMs, went to check in and it was a breeze! We then had the second helping of pixie dust our room was ready! We had Tuvalu 3415 right on the SE corner 3rd floor what a room close to everything! And quite (we didn’t notice a smoky smell, but we do both smoke, they seem to really do a good job with the odor) We got settled in took a quick walk around the room, resort and headed for MK (this was EE and we had originally planed on getting to DW by 8am) it was noon and we headed for MK first was HM we walked on not even a 2 min wait! Next we headed for Ppan and SW, on the way who surprises us? Snow White! Less than a min for a photo and autograph, more pixie dust? (The second of the day we caught John Radcliff on Main Street!) Grabbed a fast pas for Ppan, ate lunch at Pinocchio hause (decent food fair price) and walked on SW >2min. headed to frontier land and dropped down to POC walked on, I was going to ride a second time but… We hit BTRR the stand by said 30min we waited >10 and then SM 45min we waited not even 20! Went back and rode Ppan (DS and DW thought we took off for real and I have to admit Disney knows how to make the magic REAL!)
We then saw Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, chip & Dale (we would be seeing a lot of chip & dale this next week!) and caught the monorail back to our home for the next 3 days. Once back we enjoyed the volcano pool had a few drinks and made (changed) a PS for Ohana (we originally had a PS for Crystal palace) for 10pm! Watched electric water pageant from the end of the dock just us, and 2 couples very nice and quite. Ate Dinner (I highly recommend Ohana if you like Meat like I do! the place is real fun and the food is good+++)
Walked on the beach watched the castle change color and went to sleep (all except me I watched DCL and DVC half the night! J)
End Day one,
Day 2: 5/9 Epcot next
