Look- Our trip countdowns say days not months! YEAH!!

I know!!!!! I cant hardley stand it! We are all going to have soooo much fun. I have a lot to do until then though. Work has consumed me. I have, a so to speak, QUOTA to make before we go. (KNOW ANYONE WHO NEEDS LIFE INSURANCE! ) Its part of what I do, but not all. So I am kind of a little worried I wont make it. Need to write 2 policies before then. I only work part time in that department so thats a lot. The cruise has really taken over my brain. Work has taken a back seat, but it shouldnt. Oh well, as you can see, I am working really hard right now.
I just went shopping last night for the last things on the list we needed. Video tapes, bobby pins, etc. Just a few untied ends. Now I really am ready to go. I even got a box to ship for the FE goodies. Yeah, that little bit took up a lot of room. Now, more clothes for me. Sorry, the idea of pack and take out half!!!! Not for me. I would rather have more clothes to choose from, than get there and say oh I wish I had...

welcome to are little group I'm kathy and I will be traveling with my husband and 2 kids.only 4 weeks to go and I'm outta here .the airline kept changing our flight times to later and later which meant by the time we got to disney hotel it would be 4 in the afternoon so my husband got mad and called them.he implied that we were due to get on the cruise ship that day and asked them if they could get us a flight the day before and they could so we are flying in the night before and will know have 3 whole days at disney before we go instead of 2 1/4 days .I have so much stuff have to buy a new suitcase cause don't have enough room for everything I have to bring.looking forward to see everyone soon.

Hey Kathy, what airline are you traveling on? Delta did the same thing to us and then informed me of the charge for anything over 1 checked bag per person. I was NOT happy. I went out this afternoon to look at new cameras and I think I found the one I want! My to do list keeps growing and our time is going quick!!!

I am on frontier so don't have to worry about how many bags I bring.I think its rotten what they have done about the one bag limit.It just means more people will be carrying on bags which will cause a problem when they run out of room in the overhead bins.I know what you mean have so much to do and not enough time plus have to plan a birthday party for weekend before we go.I am looking forward to the rest and relaxation I need it so bad.27 days and counting

I got my room assignment...found it on the DCL web page...nothing in mail, but I am in room 6654...it is an upgrade to cat 6 and the end room on the starboard side...a handicapped room and it is HUGE!!! I am so excited! I am sure glad I upgraded from a cat 9 to a 7...and then I got this room...WOW...

Now I have to make my fish extender and get my goodies to deliver....I think I will have to mail a box to the ship...with US Air only allowing one checked bag that is a problem...oh well...we will see how it goes.

I would love to know how you do the priceline tricks to get a good deal. Great job getting that...

I got a room at the Hyatt for the first night for $120 but that's a far cry from $38..or whatever....
I booked a room at Atlantis for $147 so that we can use all of the amenities at the resort...and I booked a dolphin encounter also for $105...might upgrade to a swim...I am excited about the dolphin encounter.

Can't wait for the cruise...this is my second one and I have a better comfort level now with the ship and all. First time it was just trying to maneuver the ship and understand everything and how it works.

Hope I can get a reservation for Palo on board...nothing available on line. Loved the meal we had there.

Also got first seating for dinner...better for us...I hated eating at 9 pm every night...way too late...and I missed the Pirate Party because of the late dinner seating..will be sure not to do that this time!

Hi guys - sitting here for the second week, having just gotten thru the flu I now have bronchitis. UGH! My training has been non-existant. I don't know how I am supposed to run 9 miles a month from tomorrow.

Anyway, counting the days now and trying to get ecited about going. If I could only stop coughing!

Yeah Susan!! Congrats on your upgrade! We are on deck 6 as well actually 8 of us in the fish extender swap are on deck 6! Are you talking about the Hyatt at the airport in Orlando? We looked into flying out the night of the 30th and staying there for a few hours instead of flying in on the 1st (more time at the parks) but the rooms were $250 and we need 2. We are doinng the Dolphin encounter at Blue Lagoon. CAN NOT WAIT!!

This Sunday is our pre-cruise party with my family. I have goodie bags for my family and then we are making our door signs. I also bought this rhinestone bedazzler machine to make shirts! I am so excited! I also bought my new camera this morning. It should be here next week!
So now we have all the room numbers for the FE except 1.
While I seem to have everyones attention, lets talk meeting times. This is for all of us in the cruise meet not just the ones doing the FEs. So I hope to hear back from everyone!! Here are my thoughts: Port Canaveral Day- Promenade Lounge @ 3:30 and Adventures Away Party in front of stage right after the safety drill. Pirate Night @ 5 PM in the Main Atrium. Any other ideas, suggestions, changes?? I love input!!

Yes, the Hyatt at Orlando International....we are federal gov employees and so I got a government rate...can't wait to try out the beds...

My family has cruised 1 other time in 2006 and we can not wait to get back! I posted some meet times a few posts back; I hope you and your family can join us!
I went to an all night scrapbooking event last night and guess what I did... forgot all my pictures at home!!! I was so upset with myself! So, I journaled (which I hate doing) the 3 scrapbooks that I had been working on from our Disney trip in 06 and from the wedding! I was hoping to get them 100% but without the pictures, no luck!! I also worked on DD autograph book for this trip.
Today, all my family cruising with us is coming over for a pre-cruise party. We are going to be making our door signs!! Tomarrow, I am mailing out my boxes to the port! I know soon I'm going to be like that commercial and be "to excited to sleep" or just about anything else!!

Wow! How did you do that? I checked on rates at the Atlantis and the cheapest one I found was around $350!

It was advertised on Travel Zoo...I found it here on the cruise board under Atlantis Room Deal....booked it right away...

I just checked that link and the rooms are sold out due to high demand. I guess I was REALLY lucky to get that rate. It pays to read the Dis Boards!

Sorry you weren't able to jump onto that great deal in time.

I'm sure glad we booked the Atlantis beach day excursion. We would like to see the aquarium, look around a little and use their beach. That's a great deal though!

Yes, when I saw it I grabbed it...so we get to do everything there...paid extra $105 for the dolphin shallow swim there...and I can't wait.

Just bought my rish extenders...beautiful and embroidered. I was going to make them, but I don't need that extra stress right now...

If anyone wants information on where I bought them...and they truly are beautiful...disney characters that are machine embroidered wearing cruise attire... pm me or email me and I will give you the information.

gathing up my gifts for everyone...that is fun!

Got some cruise things in the mail...but not the official documents/luggage tags yet. Just the book that has the shore excursions/gifts/etc in it.

Hi Everyone! We had our pre-cruise party last night and it was a blast! I gave out the goodie bags and then we made our door signs. Not a whole lot of creativity here just cutting out and laminating some ideas I got from the forum. Today I am mailing my boxes off to the ship! We have a Parent/Teacher conference this afternoon with DD's teacher. She will be giving us DD's homework assignments for the trip. Even though I have been planning this vacation for nearly 2 years and I felt so prepared, I am now starting to stress out!!! So much todo!!
