May 29, 2004---Who is with us?

:thewave: I just got our Docs, finally!!!
I guess I will have the drink of the day
DH wants a 7&7 or Gin and Tonic

:jester: :earsgirl: princess:

:bounce: Since I am tchrmom's mom, I knew I better have a lime green t-shirt too! Bought it before I spent a 5 days in Disney World. Several were supposed to wear them, which I did, but I was the only one in the lobby of Wilderness Lodge wearing it. I will be wearing it when we board the Magic.

Yeah for Chairee0!!!!!

Ok...who is left that has not received docs???

Simba....we could change the rules and say the last person to join the thread buys the drinks.........what do you think Desert??

Hope everyone gets them soon.

Dave

We have not received our doc's yet. Our first DC we received them 20 days prior to cruise. In regards to buying drinks, that pool should be amongst first time DC's only :earsboy: .......

Welcome to our new thread mates and 5/29 cruisers, Quirky Cruiser and Desert Disney!

We'll go for either set of drink rules. We've got our docs and this is our 2nd cruise, so it works for us either way;)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Now if only the time would go by a little faster! :bounce: I have lots going on in the next few weeks, so I'm sure the time will fly by. Our excursions are all set - we'll be doing the Orient Beach excursion in St. Maarten and the Five-Star Snorkel in St. Thomas. When can we start packing??? hahaha...knowing me, I'll probably start the night before I leave! Well, better get back to work!

Four weeks folks! FOUR WEEKS!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Okay, four weeks from tomorrow we all sail. But I think most of us here are departing home four weeks from today!

YESSSSS!!!:thewave:

I'm ready for the sailaway party,:boat: , Mickey ice cream bars,:mickeybar , the show at Animator's Palate:happy2: , Rockin' Bar D:rockband: , 'drink of the day':drinking1 , and most of all, being a kid again for one week as we all prepare to sail with Mickey::MickeyMo ! (Oh, and of course, Minnie too!::MinnieMo )

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, and being able to say,
"Oh, we're taking a cruise THIS month!!!!!!!":hyper:

Please join me in the "happy dance"

:bounce: I can hardly contain my excitement. I can almost see the boat.

Has anyone done one of the cabana massages on CC. I am thinking of booking one when I get on board.

Now I am off to go sandal shopping for DD and myself.

:jester: :earsgirl: princess:

My wife and I did a couples one at CC. It was the by far the best thing we did as a couple on our first DC. We rode bikes out to the Cabana and that made for a nice breeze, as the heat on CC in June is rather warm :earseek:

As I type this DD and tchrmom are watching DCL video..AGAIN!!

I think they are a little excited.

Not to sure about the CA cruise next summer. We can do 2 off season 7 day cruises for what we would spend going out to CA. Maybe we will just do a CA vacation so DD can go to DL

Here is to 4 weeks left:drinking1

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: What is this CC massage? I was wondering what I was going to do while you all were doing excursions that day. Knowing how much I love massages, I think this sounds really, really like something I would do!

Well, I did it!

This afternoon, I drug out the big suitcase and put the newly purchased sunscreen and over the door shoe holders in it. As I type, it is here, in my den, waiting for me to add things.::yes::

Mom, I think a Castaway Cay massage would be right up your alley! It is a massage, in an open air cabana,,,,over looking the ocean (so I'm told)

Book that as soon as we get on the ship. THOSE fill up fast!:cloud9:

By the way mom........I did buy the new washer and dryer today!

Can't wait!
WE"RE CRUISING THIS MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!:boat:

Hi there:wave2:

Just bumping this up as it was getting harder to find.

I'm writing a 'things to do list' as we get closer to the 29th. I have these nightmares about finally being at sea, and remembering something we forgot to do...'Oh no, I forgot to unplug the coffeemaker, the house will catch on fire, or 'We left the gate open, the dogs will run away,' etc.:scared1:

Has anyone bought the passporter (guide to DCL)? Even for repeat cruisers, there's some very helpful information. For instance, (never having ordered before) I didn't realize that tips for room service cannot be added to the stateroom bill, and that it's suggested to bring a sufficient amount of dollar bills. Also, I didn't know that the 'Outlook bar' (on deck 10?) serves panini sandwiches and hot wings at lunchtime. (BTW, what is a panini sandwich? I'm sure I've seen them before, but can't remember. LOL!)

Outlook serves sandwiches? Like free? :) hehe I didn't know that. I'm waiting on my passporter, I ordered it last week. I'm lurking...I will be on the cruise and I'm hoping none of my coworkers see this message :). They know I'm on vacation but they don't know I'm crusing. Let's just say we're all related to the mouse!

I was looking at the salon services on the DCL website. Was thinking of waiting to get my hair cut while on board. Their prices are very reasonable. Might look a bit shaggy by then! Hoping I can get a cut on the first evening.

Has anybody ever used the salon?

Mickeyhugger - I did get the new passporter - this time I got the deluxe version. I have the first one, but felt compelled to get the new one. It does have a lot of useful new info - particularly the shore excursion reviews.

On our Western cruise last summer, I saw the outlook bar open a few times - I think it was open on sea days. Panini sandwiches are so yummy. They are basically a sandwich that is pressed on a grill (picture a sandwich in a George Forman). Those hot wings sound good!

RCostello - I don't talk about the cruise much around work - I'm 24 and everybody here makes fun of me for sailing Disney - they just don't understand. They think I should be sailing Carnival! I think they're just jealous!

It is raining up here today - makes me long for the ship even more! I am looking forward to sunshine and calm seas....and getting away from work!

Welcome to all the new cruisers, it's great to have you aboard our thread. Still no doc's yet, but our passporter did arrive on Friday. I had never seen the 1st edition but the new edition is great. Full of info and photos.

My wife is getting tired of me everyday saying, in 26 days we will be out at sea, or in 28 day we will be at the Port.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hi Everyone,

Glad to see there are so many as anxious as our family to get underway. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise, and we're more excited than ever. Not sure about which excursions to take on the first two stops. Any suggestions? Look forward to seeing a ship full of fun and exciting cruisers.
