What is the plan to meet up again? We are going to try to make it, depending when the DVC gathering is

Do you think the gathering is that early? We are supposed to meet by the Mickey pool by the stairs at 3. I want to go to the DVC meet though. Ugh! I don't want to double book us. We plan on taking it easy. I have deliberately not planned any excursions because of it!

I finally made it through all of the posts and I might be interested in the Fish Extender exchange, but I have a few questions...

Do you get something for everyone in a family or just for the kids, or is a family gift acceptable?

Are the gifts going to be of the relatively simple or the more elaborate variety? I don't think that I'll have time at this point to be too clever!

Is it too late to join?



Also -- on a different topic, we are also from Tennessee (just outside of Nashville), and a message to dthogue--we are staying just down the hall from you!

About the FE exchange - I don't think its too late to join, Dawn has gracioulsy been keeping the list for us and she just sent an update out - if you want to join, let her know soon so she can add you. The gifts can be whatever you choose - you can do individual ones or one per family - they can be simple or elaborate, there really is no right or wrong - just a fun way to exchange token gifts - this is a budget trip for us, so our gifts are something local, but not overly expensive. Don't let the cost keep you from the exchange - just have fun with it and do what you can!!

Hi -- just joining this thread...Tammy (dethouge) spotted me on the main cruise line board and told me about the cruise meet thread. I haven't had a chance to look through all 800 pages of posts (just kidding) but maybe later...

We are a family of 4 -- DD9 (Grayson) and DS12(Spencer), along with myself and my husband David. We fly into Orlando on the 25th and are staying for 3 nights at All Star Sports (and will be at the MK on my 43rd bday, which is the 26th -- bday fastpasses here I come!!!) before we drive to Port Canaveral for the cruise. We will probably arrive around 11am -- we may try to get in a ride on Toy Story Mania before leaving Orlando, or we might not bother.

My DH and I have cruised 5 times, and the kids have cruised twice (both times to Alaska) but none of us have ever been on a Disney cruise. It sounds amazing!!!

Looks like we have lots of folks (adults & kids) celebrating a birthday!

I am finally logging on to the meet thread, even though this cruise has been booked for 14 months.

Hi everyone! My 2 DDs (10 and 7) and I will be on this Wonder trip, our 2nd cruise on DCL, but our first since their father and I divorced.

I would love to meet up with the other families here and have some folks to hang out with.

Someone earlier said we should choose a specific location near the Mickey pool. What about right by where the kids go up the stairs to go the slide? I know my girls will be in the pools for sure as soon as we board and grab lunch. In fact, we will already have our swimsuits on under our clothes!

That sounds like a great place to meet! Can't wait to see everyone on board.

Both my kids love Pirates, plus Mickey and Goofy. Unfortunately my DD9 has basically outgrown the princesses. They also both like Si and Am (from "The Aristocats").

Disney has upgraded us from an inside (Cat 11) to an outside (Cat 7) with a Navigator's Verandah! Now, I really can't wait.

So, if you have the most updated FE list, please change our stateroom number to 7021. We are Mickeefan: Julie, Nancy & Brent.

I'm going to be sure Basketrn knows about this change, too.

I've moved from the neighborhood -- I just checked my reservation and I've been upgraded to cat. 8 from cat. 11, and I'm now on Deck 5! I pm'ed Dawn and she replied to say that I'm now in the FE exchange!

Several people stated that they got cruise documents from UPS lately. What was in those? I have not received anything lately. Just wondering if I am missing something.

Ours came. It was a flat envelope with a booklet inside with all our boarding passes, luggage tags, etc.

We leave 3 three weeks from today - so tomorrow I can say 2 weeks and 6 days - wow, that sounds close.

My poor DD is working on a getting her end of year school work done and she has no idea why - the teacher is giving her additional things to do and she is the only one with the extra work, Bless her heart she really hasn't asked why, just does the extra work - I'm feeling really guilty about it - hopefully when we get on the cruise it will make it all worthwhile and she'll understand

So are we all set to meet by the steps to the slide at the Mickey pool - from the pictures I've seen this is also near Pluto's snack stand - anyone give any more thought to something we could wear that would let us know that we are looking for each other? Maybe a lime green ribbon or something easy like that?

Have had lots of fun today working on some things to add to my FE bags.

Also have been busy making some shirts for our WDW trip and the cruise. The are going to look great thanks to the great DISigners on the creative disign board.

Yesterday was a great day! We received our cruise documents and Disney waived ROFR, so we are now owners at SSR!

I am hoping to meet up with everyone at 3pm. Although, I will have 2 girls that may have other ideas and I also would like to attend the DVC gathering, so we will see how it all works out.

Anyone needing to bring an extra suitcase for all the FE stuff? I am contemplating whether to take an extra bag/suitcase or to ship it to the resort ahead of time. I'm sure that we would be able to fill it back up with all the souveniors the girls will buy, but that would be one more bag to check.

Only 17 more days till WDW and DCL!!!
