Gail - I am so sorry we didn't get to meet up for shopping. I have been doing a lot of it lately!!! I think I need a second job to pay for all the new clothes I've been buying. I told Mark, "hey, I didn't shop for over 10 years so give me a break" I'm really enjoying shopping now (and I hated it before the 50 lb. weight loss!!)

Sue, definitely know what you mean about the shopping thing. I hated to shop. I hated trying on clothes. I hated everything about it. Then, I lost a poop-load of weight and now shopping is way more fun. I found out that it wasn't the shopping I hated, it was the choice of clothes I was limited to that was. We will have to compare notes!

Sue- I just about fell out of my chair, that was so cute!! She sounds really sweet. I read it to Grace and she loved it! She said, "Look, Mommy, I'm making a K for Kelly." Which she proceeded to do with her body! :rotfl:

Carrie- Tell Mattie, Grace has never had a Mickey Bar before, but they sound delicious and she loves sprinkles!!:flower:

Chris- Emily sounds like a hoot!! :earsgirl:

I'm sure all the girls will have a great time. Grace can't wait to meet all you girls!!:sunny:

Welcome aboard redhead! We don't have teens, but I bet you will find some onboard...I believe Sandy's group has some teens in it who would be glad to meet fellow teens.

I think our girls will have to clink mickey bars to "toast" the sailing! LOL :mickeybar

TIMING GLITCH!
Well, it was bound to happen. Official Disney business is interferring with our DIS business.....I finally got around to reading the cruise information (OK, better late than never). On page 21 under Onboard Safety, I quote "Approximately one hour prior to sailing on embarkation day, you must participate in a mandatory onboard safety drill." We sail at 4pm so one hour before that is Scoops time. ARG!!!!!! Leave it to Disney to muck up our Green Navigator times!!!!! Oh what, oh what to do????

GrammieGail,

It says on board time of 400pm. So I think that means boarding starts officially at 1pm, but everyone must be onboard by 4pm at the latest. So I think I read somewhere we actually sail at 5 or 530p? I believe the sailaway party is at 430p and the drill is at 400p. That's what I understood.

Hey Mr. Man- We are headed out at 6 am too...but on Wed on the first flight out of our tiny town! We can't wait to meet you and Gail and the boys. Please tell Tyler and Toby "Howdy" from Alex!

Sue- Please tell Kelly "thanks" from Emily! She has reviewed her picture book of everyone's pictures until the edges are tattered. She can name each kiddo and tell me how old they are (and if they are "my friends" or "my brother's friends") so I know she will be recognizing EVERYONE before I do!
Emi will be in a green shirt, but most likely jumping into the pool in a swimsuit by the time we get near the pool (she screamed in delight when she saw the mickey pool on the screenshots of the Panama Canal).

I'm sure Emi would love to give a message as well, but is busy bugging her brother as he's on a video game...so I'll translate what she has mentioned about the cruise today..."I'm so excited! Are we packed yet? Is it really only 3 more days until we go? Then can I get on the boat? Will my friends be at the airport? Will all the girls wear princess dresses? How soon can I swim with my friends? When can they come over to my house to play? Can we have a sleepover tonight? Can Captain Mickey play with my friends and me?"... ::MickeyMo ...Now that she's in the room, her official word is: "Hi! I can't wait to see you!"
Emily :dancer:

Hi Chris - I just read the message to Kelly and she said, "can we send a message right away to Emily that says, Yes, we can have a sleepover at your house."

LOL, kids are SO funny!!!

Sue- too cute! Tell Kelly that Emily would love to have her over if it wasn't for the 1000 miles between us! I think Kelly and Emily will get along just fine as they sound like peas in a pod!

I should also add her ramblings at bathtime tonight: "What time do we go to the airport? Will it take a whole day to get there this time? (FYI...she is thinking of the flights to WDW from our end of the world) Can I got to DL with my friends? Will the princesses be there? Why can't they sleepover again? Is it still only 3 days or is it now 2?" Really, this kid can speak in sentences, but all I get right now is a million questions!

Mom-our official launch time should be closer to 5 or 5:30 (right before dinner), so the drill will be about 4 pm. That is the typical for all the other sailings and my guess is that we would be about the same, if not later since I think it will take them a little longer to get the boat ready in a new port (ie, I'm not betting on early boarding this time!).

Gail, don't be concerned. The lifeboat drill will be later than our meeting. You will have plenty of time to get back in your cabin and don those gorgeous orange vests which will set off our lime green outfits so smashingly.

Thanks! I thought it would be later, too. The reason I got concerned is the ticket booklet's Sailing Itinerary says we sail at 4:00pm. I just checked the cruise website and it says board at 4:00pm. I'll defer to those with more experience. So, in the great words of Emily Latella "Never mind".

PS - Chris, you will get a big kick out of this.....You know how obsessive I get about keeping important things safe. Well, I'm so used to electronic tickets these days, it never dawned on me that there would be real paper tickets. The package of cruise documents have been traveling with me since you sent them....to the office...in the car...in a plastic bag on my desk...etc. Imagine my GREAT surprise when I finally got around to looking at the documents on Friday and found real live tickets. I totally freaked! I could have LOST our vacation. YIKES!!!!!!! :scared1: :faint:  Imagine me having to explain that one to Grampa!

Oh...shoulda warned ya, mom! ALSO...our LUGGAGE color tags are in there...be careful or we can't take our bags on board! I'm pushing my limit, so I don't think I can squeeze your and dads in w/ours (I'm at 5 tightly packed w/one packed into another luggage so that I have a spare).

Yes, I think we do sail at 5pm. So we should all be ok. But there won't be much time for Scoops meetings. And I hadn't checked the boards since I posted the thing about the clothes. So THANK YOU to everyone for clearing that up for me. I was becoming fearful of our choices in attire. *Whew*
We are now counting in DAYS people! Not weeks. Yeeeeee-haaaaaaaa!

OMG! I totally forgot about the color combination. We will look like upside-down pumpkins!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

My Grandma arrived from Houston today. She came in a week early to sew us some spiffy lime green wear and some other misc. items. Poor Memo, her fingers are gonna be smoking by the end of the week.

Brandy, how sweet that your grandma is sewing you things. I think the only thing better than being a mom must be being a grandma!! So, excuse my memory but when does Steve get home again? You must be so excited. How much time do you get with him before he has to go back? How fun to spend some of your time together on the Magic! Will be Magical (sorry, I had to do it ;) )

He arrives Wed night right after 10pm. And he goes back home like a day or two after we leave the Magic. I don't know. He grew up in West Virginia, so Disney was never really a part of his life. Where as I have always been around it and it was almost part of my DNA code when I was born. So, I'm afriad he'll never quite "get it" with how much Disney means to me. It will never touch him in the same way as it does me. He's excited about going on the cruise, but he's not peeing his pants. So, I'm waiting. He'll either love it or hate it. I'm hoping that this experience will knock his socks off. He wasn't too sure about us getting married at the DLH either, but when he saw everything put together, he was blown away. He was in Georgia the whole time I was planning our wedding. So he just got little reports about what we were getting and doing for the wedding. And the whole time he was like "Gimme a break! We don't need this and that..." bla bla bla. (My mom and I were going a bit crazy with the planning. My flowers were even arrannged in the shape of Mickey's head!) But, I'll never forget it...during the reception, he leaned over and said to me "Brandy, this is amazing. I've never even heard of anything this nice before! Can we get married again one day?" He was almost speechless. So, I am hoping for the same effect with the cruise. He likes to complane a whole bunch, about being "drug" to fun places and events. But if he lets his guard down, he'll have the time of his life. Here's hoping!

Brandy,

So I just noticed that you and DH will be celebrating your 2nd anniversary on the Magic on Monday!!!! Any special plans on board? Champagne breakfast in bed..etc.? Congratulations!
:cool1: :sunny: :wizard: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo  :love2: :lovestruc :rose: :daisy:

No, no special plans. I didn't think that he would want to do Palo, seeing as how it's another "dress up" thing and was at an additional cost (10 stinkin bucks). But I made the mistake of showing him some pictures from another web page that showed the Palo luch and he says "IS THAT CRAB!? Were eating there!" So, I tried to book us the lunch on our anniversary, but they were already booked up. Maybe we'll try once were on board. I was thinking of ordering that "Congratulations" banner thing for our room. And he's not really into massages, so a couples massage is out. He's like "You can go". But if I was gonna get a massage w/o him, I'd might just as well go to the place by my house that is way cheaper than the Spa onboard. BUT that Rainforrest room does sound cool. Who knows. Any suggestion on how to celebrate this special occasion?

Dear friends:
I would like to hug you. Looking forward to meeting you at the Mickey Pool on that day, I will be having lots of fun with you all. We are going to be wearing green shirts. We are going to be looking for all of you.

Love, Kelly princess:

My girls Vanessa and Hannah have been brushing up on their swimming the last couple of weeks. I'm sure they would love to go swimming with their new friends. Vanessa loves the slide in the Mickey pool, she went on it at least 10 times in a row on the first day. Hannah was too young last time so she couldn't go. She only splashed water in one of the "Mickey ears" pool.

They'll be wearing lime green summer dresses. Both their pirate outfits arrived in the mail already so they are set for Pirate Night.

Brandy-
Your anniversary is the same day as my DH's birthday, but he's missing the cruise....so I'll just have to wish YOU a Happy Happy Day!
FYI...I heard the couples mudbath thing is pretty cool...you get some kind of room w/different kinds of mud to spread on eachother and your own private shower area, etc...it's not on the pre-booking list so I think you can run down to the spa to book it when you get on board. I want to say it's Seusical Mud, but that's not it (that's just my brain thinking of the last CD playin in the car).
