May 28, 2005 Mexican Riviera

Oh yeah. And that article was GREAT! They're doing PYRO!!!! Yes! We are BAD! EVERYONE will be so jealous of us. He he heeeeee. We bought some of those hand held fog horn things. You know what I'm talking about? We got them at Party City. I think they also sell them at sporting good stores. We have those, some confetti (hopefully we wont be fuined for litering and noise pollution!), poster board signs...we are ret' to go!

Sandy, I agree!

I keep telling Bob he has to come in here and see the latest one. Now I have that thread on the computer in its own window and just keep refreshing it. I bet it will be 30 pages or more before tonight.

They are bringing the ship over to meet us in two weeks! pirate:

I will once agian have to say "Thanks" to my wonderful husband. To try and make things easier for all of us, he has created our own DisBoard Navigator! Hi everyone! I am a cruiser on the Eastbound Repositioning Cruise who is planning to meet the Magic on May 28, 2005 in LA with a few others from our group. What are your plans? We'd all like to join you! We have a huge banner! I'll be in CA on May 26 for a couple days at Disneyland before we pick up friends from the Magic.

By the way, Hygiene99 has a little help here ;)

Tracy

:sunny: Hot Tip #7 - Childrens menus are available in all shipboard restaurants (with the obvious exception of Palo). Buffets all stock kid-friendly vittles such as mac and cheese and chicken nuggets.
This is SO exciting. The board is :Pinkbounc jumpin' :bounce: today!!

Gaaaaaaaaaaaa Blake... you are totally on top of things.... THIS is great. I'm so excited about this whole trip...

Hygiene99 is totally messing up my day by posting pictures of their departure... I'm on the Magic with them and I'm not even SEA SICK!!! THIS is great. I'm not gonna get anything done today... but who cares... I"m going on a cruise in just 14 days!..........

Good Morning everybody!!!!! I loved reading the board this morning. Those live pictures make we want to scream with excitement. The San Pedro Pier newsletter also made me want to scream. Reading that all went well for Moley and her DH yesterday made me want to cry. I was so happy for them.

Moley and Grammiegail, you two are so funny. Your posts made me LOL.

Dancing Fools, I also love 70s dance music. "Brick House" and "Play that Funky Music" are probably my favorites. But KC and the Sunshine Band and ABBA make me very happy too.

Jedisan, your DH is a doll to put that list together. Thank you.

:flower: If I remember correctly, Rebecca is graduating today. :flower: Congratulations, Rebecca. You are awesome. I hope you'll be back on the boards soon. We miss you.

GrumpyMom - thank you SO much for posting that article!! Wow, how exciting. I am so glad we picked the first cruise this time!!!

The Man - believe me when I say NOBODY wants to see me earn any beads :rotfl2: I'd be happy to wear them, but there will definitely be "no showing of any body parts here" :flower:

I can't wait to go see the pictures that people are posting of the repo cruise. I'm gonna go find them now.

I'd better bring earplugs for Kelly for the fireworks, she has never liked really loud noises.

The pictures are so exciting. It's starting to feel "real" knowing the Magic is on her way.

Dancing Fools - I love all kinds of music (with the exception of techno). I'm especially fond of 70's and 80's. However, since DD is 10, she has me listening to some current hip hop like Ciara, Jojo and the Black Eyed Peas. Pretty much if it has a bit, I'm up for grooving .

Back to the other board to see if there are any new pictures...I won't get anything accomplished today.

Jedisan,,thanks to you and your hubby! What a fabulous idea!:bounce:

A couple of adjustments though.
Champagne Bubblehead Captain Sue- I believe we were thinking of doing the champagne celebration in afternoon?
Champagne and dancing on the last night both are kind of girly events. Don't want to ditch the hubby and kid on the last night!
Also, I know at least Sue and I have late seating and are probably 2 of the biggest bubbleheads.

Dancin' Fools- (revised list)
Jedisan
Carrie
poconoboatniks
suesings
challada
Brandy & Jennifer
wccruiser

As Dancin' Fools Captain, I will be composing a list of our favorite dance songs. Got Sue's and Carrie's and Jedisan's (general tastes). Anyone else want to list theirs ? I will make sure to bring the list and commandeer the dj to make sure our songs get played (I'm famous for that). Do you think 70's night would be the best night for it? When is 70's night?

Jedisan,,(and fabulous hubby)...if we can nail all these plans down pat and you can do a final draft before we leave, I would volunteer to have it printed on lime green paper and pass them out at Scoops meeting at 3p that first day.:grouphug: :bounce: :bounce:

Sandy, that wasn't a t-shirt, I don't think. That was a beach towel, I believe, one of the traditional gifts given to Castaway Club members.

To become a member, you must have sailed on one of the Disney ships at least once. That's it. If you are a first time cruiser, unfortunately, as we were last year, you do not get the gift.

If you have sailed before and weren't aware of this, you can call the DCL 800 number and find out what your Castaway Club member number is.

Here are some perks for CC members:

1. A special reservations line at the terminal. This will continue in San Pedro. However, that line is seldom shorter than the other reservations line because so many of Disney's passengers are returning cruisers.

2. A welcome aboard gift. You saw it on Hygiene 99's bed. Rumor has it the Castaway Club gift for our cruise will also be special.

3. Invitation to a Captain's party for CC members. This is a dress up party with complimentary drinks and the ever present EATS! :earseek:

As my Mom told me this morning, "You are going to swell up like a toad on this vacation." "Yes, Mom, I know. I have friends who are urging me to dress in Lime Green. At least I'll be the right toad color when the swelling commences." :teeth:

It wasn't a t-shirt or a beach towel. It was a blanket. Like the ones that we got on the Antigua and Puerto Rico cruises last year.

Tracy, you are doing a fabulous job here today!! Thank you so much. This live reporting is making the anticipation for our own May 28th cruise so much sweeter.

I am not in on any Disneyland meets because we can't get there early enough to attend. I do know a few of our cruisers will be having a get together out there right before the cruise.

I also planned to go over to the terminal early with possibly others from our Sheraton Harbor guests. However the Sheraton Harbor kicked us down the street last night to the Marina Hotel which is not in the same proximity as the Sheraton. We were fine with that but we will miss some of the early morning hoop-la as a result. I do know a few of us may want to get involved, so I quoted your question and brought it to the top of this page so it could be seen.

Have fun today! You are making it fun and exciting for all of us! :cool1:

Moley...

I'm having the BIGGEST Hissy FIT right now... but it is nothing compared to the one that my daughter Enchanted Playroom will have when she gets back from the bank to see that we don't get the cool stuff that ya'll will get.
I'm so freaking jealous....
ok.. but seriously, do they at least SELL us the stuff that they GIVE you?
