May 26th 3 Night Dream Cruise Trip Report

Really enjoying the report! How old was your DD on your last cruise? We're planning on taking ours when she's 4 and I was wondering if you might have some experience with your DD on a cruise around that time.

You bet! She has cruised at 3, 4, and now 5 so if you have any specific questions, I'll do my best.

You mentioned that you booked your Cabana once they became available to everyone online. I was under the impression that if you were not Conceirge then you had to wait till you boarded and check to see if there were still any available.

If you can book online at some point, how did you know how to not miss the opening for the Cabanas.

Thanks for the help!

Loved your report. We are on a 3 day in August!:):):)

The rules changed for booking Cabanas after our window to book excursions opened. I wouldn't had known if someone hadn't posted on the DIS Boards. Now, I believe, they are available when all other excursions are available.

I love your tr! your dd is adorable... especially asleep in the hammock!

how much are the cabanas??

we're doing a b2b in Nov... we've never been on DCL. I sort of feel like if we get a cabana, we'll be 'missing' some of castaway cay, knim?

maybe for the 2nd leg of our trip. After your pic of the 2 beaches - I'm thinking my dh might really like it.

Thanks so much! The cabanas are expensive - $500 on family beach and $400 at Serenity Bay. I do know what you mean but it really depends on how you plan to spend your time. Cabanas include bike rental, snorkel rental, plus all the rafts and floats you want. We didn't feel like we had to spend every minute in the Cabana to get our money's worth, we just enjoyed every minute we did spend there!

What do you think is the best age for the first cruise? Is 4 good or would you wait (knowing what you do now, you obviously didn't wait! ;)) until she's 5?

Thanks!

Loving the TR! So excited for my cruise in Feb

I think 4 is plenty! We didn't see much difference between 4 and 5 on board. The main difference was what she did on Castaway Cay as she got older.
