Kelly, Thanks again! Give the list to Sweetsue to arrange the Tea With Wendy as she is a concierge guest on this cruise.

I wanted you all to know I keep asking for info about this cruise every time I call DCL. I have found out a couple things, but nothing confirmed yet.

Since we are leaving so late, we might not have a party until the next day. There is definitely not going to be a pirate party (old news), but instead something Mediterranean themed with big surprises! I asked about fireworks and would not be told one way or the other. Someone mentioned a masquerade party would be cool (but again, no confirmation that is what was happening). They said that a lot of the onboard activities will reflect the region that we are in. I'll keep trying to get info out of them!!

I am a little confused on how to respond to the tea party. So here goes .... (Myself Karen and DD Jordan) would like to attend the tea party with Wendy. We have two grandmas in tow who would like to come if there is room. Otherwise not a big deal.

sweetsue- Please add us to the wine tasting list. Thanks.

Hi Karen, I have you on the list. When it is time to book I'll make sure sweetsue has everyone. :cutie:

OK - so we do not pack the pirate costumes but tell them some of us will pack other costumes if we have enough lead time .

Thanks Tracy

I was wondering how they could possibly fit in a pirate party. The schedule is so tight with long days at port. It will be interesting to see what they squeeze in. It could be the "Pirates take the Med." Which day does the POC3 come out in America? pirate:

The obvious ones are a DIS meet on Embarkation Day :grouphug: , a gathering in our Roy Disney Suite party: , and a Pirate Get-Together... but, we could also think about a wine mixer (where everyone brings a wine native to their state :drinking1 , though, I'm not sure a Las Vegas wine would taste very good... lol) and I generally like to plan 3 nights of meetings where we get out and dance, the typical ones are 70's night, 80's night, and Kareoke night.... :dancer: please share your ideas... Hi, a new lurker here. I am a B2B cruiser for the Trans-Atlantic and the first med. I would love to be added to your list of people!

The get togethers all sound really great - please let me know what I should bring along - NJ is not known for wine (gads - we have a few vineyards - all terrible and about 150 miles from me!)
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
Got back from NYC last night and boy was I wiped! :sad2: It's a good thing I am not single- I can't handle the night life, up until after 3 AM Friday and Saturday.

My surprise was dinner at Babbo, where I got to see Gyenneth Paltrol and Chris Martin (lead singer of Cold Play). The next day at the airport, I got to see Keiffer Sutherland

It was pretty fun!

Would you believe we haven't even talked about the 5 day cruise? We were concentrating on the July 27th west coast cruise because July 30th is the 10 year anniversary of the Magic's maiden voyage. We'll have to check out the 5 day cruise. Alex

Oh Hi Celeste

Glad you had a Great time !!
:woohoo:

That's New York for you.....if you're just a little observant, you can spot tons of celebrities! They like NY because people there won't bother them. A real NY'er has the attitude that to acknowledge a celebrity is to admit they are special and our egos won't allow that. Of course, when they're not looking we're all making gestures and whatever, but none of that would ever happen to their face. I lived in Manhattan for 30 years and boy, do I have stories!

We had a chance to visit NYC with Jeanneg & John
what great tour guides...:)
We even got some halfed price tickets to a show!
You know the place in Time Square.:)

It did rain a bit, Alot, but we still had a great time!

Man is it cold here today!

Come on May!!

Yes, I do remember the rain.....man, were we drenched....but we did have fun! Best of all, Peter got his cheesecake (NY style) and I got mine (Italian ricotta)!

I sat down last night and tried to finalize our excursions. I will post them later and thought it would be nice if others did the same. Some of them were toss-ups between 2 or 3 different tours, so if we knew that friendly faces would be coming along with us, we would consider switching. Most are not the key attractions because we have been to several of these places before and would rather do something different. As it stands now, we will probably stay on the ship - or fairly close to it - in Rome. We've done all the main attractions and don't feel like traveling long distances and spending big bucks for something we're already done. In all our cruising, we have never used the ship's pool.....maybe Rome will be the day and we can have the adult pool (and bar!) all to ourselves.
Does anyone know what is the exact day that Castaway Club members can start to book? My (old) TA tells me nothing. (Hopefully, my new one will be better.)

We're getting there on making our final decisions, will post when done!
