May 24, 2009 - Annual NE Ohio Memorial (Sun)Day Picnic

It's time again to announce the "umpteenth" Towncrier Memorial (Sun)Day picnic at our home in NE Ohio. We have been holding this annual event for as long as I can remember. We provide hamburgers and hot dogs, soda pop, and potato chips. The picnic starts at noon and has been known to go until midnight. Bring your family, your appetite, and any Disney photos, scrapbooks, or what have you to share with the group.

If you happen to be in Northeast Ohio on May 24th and would like to drop by, send me a PM and I'll give you directions to our home.

Last year a few of us drove over to Brandywine Falls to check out this hidden treasure. Perhaps someday I'll get my act together and we will hold the picnic there.

We'll have plenty of burgers and ketchup, but it is probably a good idea for you to BYOM (bring your own mayo). My wife refuses to let me have that stuff in the house (even though I mayo).

Three weeks to the picnic. Soft drinks, chips, and charcoal have been purchased. Plans are underway for when and where to purchase the remaining food. We are looking forward to seeing our friends and catch up on the past year. And hear all about everyone's Disney trips.

No need to BYOM(ayo) - I convinced Sue to buy a small container of mayo. My son is back from college with his dorm fridge, so we can segregate the mayo from the rest of the food so there is no danger of contamination. The things we do for love.
