Anyone going on the May 24, 2007 3 Night on the Wonder? This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise. We are doing the Land & Sea Package. Hope to hear from some of you that will be on the Cruise! :wave2:

There has to be someone going on this Cruise....Or maybe DH and I will have the whole boat to ourselves!! :rolleyes1

Hi!! My DH and I will be on this cruise, it is our first one. Yea!! I am hoping that the new pirates movie will premier when we are on the cruise, I heard that last year they played it at Midnight. :cool1: I'm crossing my fingers!!

The Pirates Movie coming out that weekend is why we picked this cruise. My husband is keeping he fingers crossed that it will come out when planned. He is a huge POC Fan. pirate: We were on the Magic when Chicken Little came out, and they had a premiere at Midnight. I know that they did the midnight premiere of POC2 last year too.

I see in your signature that you got married in 2004. Us too. My DH wanted a Disney honeymoon, but I said no. I knew there would be many trips to Disney in our future. We opted for a cruise instead, and we were hooked.

The Pirates movie is why we switched to this cruise, also pirate: !! We just got back from there, as you can also probably tell from the signature. Have you seen the pirates ride since it was redone? They did such a good job of fitting in the movie without ruining the original ride.

Now that we are back from this trip, my DH "allows" me to be excited about the cruise...though I was already excited!! :cool1: He thinks that he will be bored on the ship, but I think he is crazy!

Is Molly your dog? We have a dog also, her name is Minnie...guess who she is named after :sunny: LOL

Tell your husband not to worry about being bored on the boat. There is way too much stuff to do, to even think about being bored. No, we haven't seen the Pirate attraction at Disney yet. We will be spending 4 nights there before the cruise though.

Yes, Molly is our Dog. We opted for a puppy rather then a baby. Good Decision!.

Hi Everyone - My DD and I have just booked our FIRST Disney Cruise. From what I read, I will not be disappointed. We have been on many CCL. I look forward to meeting all of you. I'm anticipating that my daughter will want to spend every waking hour in the Oceaneer's Club. Will there be anything to do for ME??? We've been to Nassau so many times - but we are looking forward to Castaway Cay.

You will not be disappointed with your decision to cruise with Disney. They do it right. Castaway Cay is amazing. We don't have any kids, but from what I hear, your DD will love the clubs. Looking forward to meeting you.

Can anyone tell me about the Pirate Party? Do people dress up?

About Castaway Cay, is that an actual excursion or does everyone go there? Are excursions available/recommended?

Thanks

What time do they usually let you board? Is it May 24th yet???

The Pirate party is a lot of fun. It is a deck party that starts around 9:30 pm. All of the characters are dressed up in pirate costumes. They have dancing and music. That is the night the fire works are. Yes, people dress up. Some a lot more then others. At dinner, you will get a pirate bandana.

Castaway Cay is an island that you stop at. Just like we stop at nassau. But Castaway Cay is Disney's Private Island. If you go to the disney cruise line website, there are pictures and a list of all of the excursions to can do.

They let you in the terminal at 10:00am but they don't start boarding til 12:00.

Do you recommend and excursion on Castaway Cay or is there plenty to do not taking an excursion? Do you still get lunch? I've been stashing away pirate costumes for us to wear. My DD knows nothing of the cruise and she is going to be SOOO excited.

Last time I was there, We did the snorkle. We were signed up for the eco tour, personal watercraft jet ski type thing, but they left without us. We didn't get our money back either. The snorkle was fun, but takes a lot of time to do the whole thing, or to even find the underwater mickey. This time around, we are not booking any excursions and just making it a total beach day. Another thing you can do, is rent a float/tube.

Yes, they serve lunch. It is really good too. Lots of options. Hamburger, hot dogs, steak sandwich, fish, salads, fresh fruit, cookies, ice cream, etc...

So when are you planning on telling your DD about the cruise?? how old is She?

Well, we've taken several cruises. I'll probably tell her we are going on a cruise, but she will have no idea its a Disney Cruise until we pass through the threshhold. Imagine the look on her face. I wish it were tomorrow.

I think we'll just plan a relaxing day at CC. DD will probably play with the kids her age and I'll just rest on a chair with a drink soaking in the sun. Sounds nice, don't it??

I just bought my first Passporter and I can't put it down. It is by far the best guide book I have ever read. Thanks to all on these boards who recommended it. It has everything and everything you need to know about Disney Cruise Line.

I never got a passporters, but I did get the Birnbaum's guide to a disney cruise, which I read through about 5 times before the cruise. There is so much information out there, I found out the most from the Dis boards though. I like hearing people own experiences. Instead of reading from a book. But the books are also very helpful. Less then four months, and we'll be getting on the boat!

I switched my cabin Category because of the book. I was originally booked in Cat 12 but I found out by reading that there are only 13 Cat 12 cabins and they are all on Deck 2 directly above/below the Beat Night Club. I had a bad experience on another cruise line being right above the Karaoke Club. Lets just say, I could "judge" the contestants right from my room. LOL. Anyway, I made a quick call to my TA and switched to Cat. 11. Now I'm on Deck 7 in Cabin 7565. I had to pay an extra $300.00. Piece of mind is worth it.

we were in a cat. 11 last time and it was nice. We were on deck 6 right in the middle of the boat. There was plenty of room for just the two of us. This time we upgraded to a cat. 9. We really wanted that port hole. It was a splurge, but we are Vacation Club members, so we are using our points. So in reality, it only cost points.

Thank you for your post. It makes me more confident about my decision, justifying the increase in price on my tight budget. You words were reassuring. Thanks again.
