It was weird, this whole AFTR, wasn't it? It felt forced, rushed and fake. Hey, just like the entire season!

I so agree. This was one of the least interesting of all seasons. Ashley really started grating on my nerves the last couple of weeks. Those surprised faces she makes when someone is talking to her......Ugh. Good luck to her and JP. They will need it.

I'm very sad about that. She is way too young to be worried about botox. There are natural ways to fight those wrinkles instead of injecting poison into herself - especially at her age.

oh my goodness. i love him. he is so honest. it's so refreshing. and he is still ticked, regardless of what he says! oh yeah, they're totally going to still have a friendship.

Awww I like Ashley & JP together. Ben was boring and brooding. I knew she would pick JP from the very beginning. The only reason I hoped she might not pick JP is if they would pick him as the next Bachelor. I think he is one of the most sincere guys they have had on this show and I actuallly think this is a couple who will last.

I think it's been JP from the beginning - she just had to go through the motions. Although I would think JP would be mad if he saw the overnight dates - even if they didn't really "sleep together" she was way too erotic with Ben if she knew it was JP all along - Skanky

Before we head off for other threads, I just wanted to say I had a great time on this thread because of YOU GALS! You gals are so funny. You made a really boring show fun to watch.

Ah, JP just said those fated words...'when things are more stable, then we'll talk about wedding plans.' Yup, it won't last. That means they're not convinced they're going to get married IMO.

J.P. looked so enthused as he said he can't wait for her to get to NYC.

i can't believe i'm going to say this, but they are cute together. at least they weren't ready to pull out the boxing gloves like brad and emily.

I know - not alot of commitment, but I do hope they make it. He seems more real than most, but I'm not sure if she knows what she wants.

You're probably right! Even with the enticement of 25 women, they STILL turned it down! Though I must admit, I'm suprised Ames is on the Bachelor Pad. I just might have to watch now...maybe.

Did anyone notice the continuity error last night?

When JP proposes, he takes the ring box out. The next camera shot is a close up of the ring as the box is opened. The shot after is of him holding the box with ring inside up to her. In the close up shot, on the inside of the box it says 'Neil Lane'. But when the you see JP holding it up, the name is gone. Obviously they shot the close up either before or after the proposal. I wonder if it was even JP that was holding it for the close up.

Funny thing is when they re-broadcast it during the ATFR segment, when they had the close up, they blacked out the name.

I thought I saw that too - a moment of confusion, and then I forgot

Darn, my dvr didn't record ATFR. If someone finds it on-line, please let me know.

My thoughts,

Was that really JP's plane flying over Ben's boat as Ben was leaving? If so, don't ya think JP saw Ben being taken away and knew he was the one before he got there?

Poor Ben. That was awful to let him get on one knee and propose. He seems like a great guy and I hope he finds the perfect woman for himself. But I think it was kind of obvious that she was going to let him down when he walked up, she said "umm", and he said "wait, before you say anything..." I wonder if he knew and they set it all up for dramatic effect.

On the Men Tell All, did you notice how Ames got the most cheers from the audience? He needs to be the next bachelor. But even if he wasn't dating someone, they'd never put such a gentleman in that position. It would be too classy and not attract enough viewers.

I was thinking the same - did he actually have to see JP's plane flying overhead while he's marooned in the bay, forced to sail past Ashley? That is crap!

i didn't watch Bachelor Pad last time. am i going to have to watch it this time so that i can come here to chat with you all? i agree with those who've said the chats here were SO much better than the actual show!

I was just thinking the same thing - I don't want to watch, but I want to keep chatting with all of you!

Don't know if everyone saw this either, at least it hasn't been mentioned yet. Right at the very end of the ATFR there're some scenes of the two on the beach. They giggle, they run in the water, etc. You may have missed it if you were busy retching in the bathroom. Just before they cut away to the news or whatever was next, JP says, "So what's next?" and Ashley replies, "My bed?" Ah, yes, that's our Ashley. Always a model of class and sophistication.

She's divorced. I think she said she had kids, but I'm not sure.
