We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort from May 11-19th (well, some of us are staying to the 19th). Most are departing on 5/16, but one of my sisters
(this one) offered to stay three more days so my DH and I can frolic around the park sans child! What a good sister, Happy Birthday to me!
Our trip also coincides with my nephew's second birthday AND Mother's Day so we have a whole lot going on. I planned everything, including making all reservations for everyone (we're not all eating together every day) and created personal itineraries for each family. Over the top? Maybe, but how I love to plan a Disney trip!
As a special treat for the kids (this includes my 23 year old niece and her boyfriend) I've made up "Welcome" gifts that will be from Mickey and Friends. Inside Disney themed buckets are personalized towels, t-shirts, flip flops, sunglasses, glow sticks, snacks and a Disney cup to match the bucket for each child. Can't wait to see their faces when they get these.
My mother has had t-shirts made up for all of us to wear one day and rumor has it she has "party favors" for everyone as well.
Here's what our schedule looks like:
5/11: Late afternoon arrival. Unpack, eat something at resort take in the campfire/movie night by the pool and get a good night of rest
5/12: MK Arrive at rope drop, this is my nephews birthday so we will do all the attractions he can do until our 10:20 Crystal Palace birthday breakfast. Following breakfast we can tour MK for a little while before the crowds become unbearable,then head back to the resort to swim. Saturday night most of us will be on the Pirate & Pals cruise and a few will be dining at Le Cellier for dinner.
5/13: Mother's Day! This is our Epcot Day for most. DS and DN will be sleeping in and getting massages. DBIL will be golfing. The rest of us will tour Epcot until our Behind the Seeds Tour at 1:30. Following the tour we can continue at Epcot or take a swim break. Mother's Day Dinner at Chef Mickey's for all at 6:45. MK open late, so we'll likely head over there for fireworks and fun!
5/14: Animal Kingdom Rope Drop. Tour Animal Kingdom, lunch at Flame Tree BBQ, head back to resort to swim/rest. My Birthday dinner at Biergarten. Then Grandma and Grandpa take the kids and the BIG kids head over to Jellyrolls.
5/15: Early BBB for my DD (8) and DN (5)! This is a surprise for them. Afterward, we all meet at Cinderella Castle for lunch. Following lunch, we are heading over to DHS. Spending rest of the day here. 4 Adults doing the Mama Melrose Fantasmic package, DN and DBF eating at Yachtsman and the rest of us and the kiddies will be dining at 50's Prime Time.
5/16: Early goodbye breakfast at Pepper Market. My Dad and BIL will be golfing early, DB and his family depart around 10:30, the rest of us will relax by the pool until the remaining people depart. DSIS, DH, DD and I have dinner reservation at San Angel at 5:30. Following, we hand over DD to DSIS and woo hoo!
5/17: Blizzard Beach and Winter/Summerland during the day. DH and I will have dinner at California Grill, DD and DSIS at Rainforest Cafe.
5/18: Epcot Segway tour with DH then whatever we feel like doing, no plans for once! Same with DSIS and DD.
5/19: DHS for rope drop, ride TSMM one more time, then back to MK for last licks. Depart at 3:30
