Never been during this time of year. What can I expect? (crowds, weather etc)

It is the week befor Memorial Day week end. We will be leaving Disney early Sat morning on the 27th.

Thanks!

I can't wait to read the responses you get. We will be there May 19-22 -- hopefully going over the weekend isn't going to be a mistake!

We're going to be there the same time as you. I'm looking forward to reading what people write.

We've been the week before Memorial Day a few times, as recently as last year, and love it. The parks aren't as empty as they are in for example Sept. but you don't have the oppressive heat and thunderstorms to deal with. What I specifically remember from last year was that the walkways seemed crowded, shoulder-to-shoulder people, but when you stepped out of the stream to get on a ride they were walk-ons or a short (5-10 min) wait. That except for Dumbo, Peter Pan, and sometimes Space Mountain. You still have to hit those early in the day. You will still need to make PSs for meals at the popular places and I would still avoid counterservice at noon. We will be there the weekend prior to Memorial Day again this year, but trying the water parks this time (we've never been to either of them)! :Pinkbounc

Hello-I am another May 20-May 27 vacationer. :)Fla Gator-Thanks for the information.I think this is a great week to go.There is so much happening-Star Wars Weekends at Disney-MGM Studios, the Doll and Teddy Bear show at Epcot and,of course, the WONDERFUL Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot.I am really looking forward to the FREE Flower Power concerts with B.J. Thomas,The Rascals and The Guess Who.This also will be my first trip since Expedition:EVEREST has been open.WOW!Have a great trip everyone! :)

We were at WDW this week in 2004. It was HOT, but not as humid as later in the summer. It was like 95 degrees every day. Make sure you do your MK days before Thursday. That's when the Memorial Day crowds start to appear!!

It's fairly hot but not August hot. It's crowded but not Christmas week crowded. The week leading up to Memorial weekend won't be nearly as bad as Friday - on. From then the summer crowds start in force!

Sounds good! Can't wait to go! We were originally going to go over March break but we couldn't get a res at any value resorts. If you check now it is very limited to what is left.

This sounds like it is going to be a great week. I just checked the hours at all the parks and eveyone is open late.

I guess I was kinda scared when I seen those hours but it sounds like it was a good week for those who went at that time in years past.

Thanks!

It's busy but not President's Week crazy. And it's hot but not August-I'm-melting-and-my-digital-camera-is-fogging-up hot. There is a ton to do and you might want to plan MGM in the middle of the day if it's Star Wars Weekend. It's a nice time to go to Epcot because of the flower show. You'll have a great time!!!! Ely

We went the week prior to Memorial Day last year, and we are going May 22-27 this year. It is busier compared to September, and October, but it was not bad at all. The fastpasses never ran out, and the longest we waited was 30 minutes for Dumbo. I agree with previous posters- Friday and Saturday started to get crazy. We went to MGM the Sat. of MEmorial Day for Star Wars weekend and it was NUTS! (It may not be as bad this year- last year the movie came out near then.) Hopefully this year will be the same crowd and weather wise- it was hot, but not melting hot- and the best part? NO rain except for a 30 minute downpour Thursday night! :thumbsup2

We're going the same week for our first time ever...hope its not to bad

Hi!

We will be at the CBR May 19 - May 30. Does anyone know or think that MK will be busy on 5/29? I would like to visit it one last time before we go back home.

TIA!
Karen
