May 2, 2009~~~Magical MAYniacs!~~~ 7 day Western....Updated, April 3,2009!!

Oh CRAP.....well...I am not watching the Hanna Montana movie....
You'll have a partner in Emilie. She told me last night that she is not watching the HM movie. I told her that I take her grandfather's position on this one: I'll watch anything if it's free. (it was actually my father's position about food, but I find it works for other things, too ;))

Crazy things I'm involved in right now? FINALS! Two down (I had back to back finals on Wed. and Thurs.), one to go. It's hard to motivate for the last one, though, especially with a cruise to think about instead. :rotfl:

What electronic devices or appliances are not permitted?

Irons are not permitted onboard due to safety concerns. Irons are available for you to use in the laundry facilities located on decks 2, 6 and 7.
:laundy:

Thanks! Glad to know there are irons available in the laundry rooms! Last (non-DCL) cruise I went on, had to pay $$$ to have the ironing done by the cruise staff!

Make that 3 watchers for the Ho-Down, altho' I am a big country music fan. Just can't get interested in the Hannah Montana thing.

You want to know how we're dealing with the anticipation and preparing....I'm waffling over getting a pedicure this weekend or next. If I do it this weekend, I'm afraid it will grow out too much for the cruise, but I'm afraid to leave too much to do for next weekend. Silly, I know! Making lists, have to hit the bank for laundry quarters and tip money, need groceries, but don't want too much fresh stuff that could be left over and spoil while we're gone. Have to pick up allergy meds cuz I NEED them and seasickness meds just in case. Must find time to finish making our FE gifts and decide if I want to go ahead and make up the individual bags ahead of time or pack the bags flat and stuff them on the ship. I'm afraid once we get onboard I'll be too busy having fun, but I don't want the gifts to get crushed in packing, either. Decisions, decisions! Have already realized I've planned too many clothes to take along, so must go thru and weed out some "not so necessary" things. The bed in the spare bedroom is covered with cruise things to be packed, but there's no room on the bed for the suitcases! Sigh.....why do I always do that?!

So what crazy things are you all going thru in these last two weeks? I know Ashlotte is moving....good grief, girl! I don't envy you one bit and will definitely keep you in my prayers! Hope all goes well with all that!!

I have the perfect fix for the pedicure thing....I have been waiting, waiting, waiting to have my pedicure but will be doing it next Sat...the pedicure dilema wasn't too bad, but the manicure one was!!! I was so afraid I would break (they aren't long, but they still break) one before I had my manicure, so I went yesterday and had a manicure and then booked another one for next Sat. too!! :rotfl: You could do the same with the pedicure :rotfl:

I too know I have way too many clothes out...there is NO way I can get rid of any :scared1:

You know, 50 is a good day out here. :lmao: (and we're supposed to hit a balmy 58 today, I believe)

I don't know how you live out there...lol!!! Living here is too cold for me...imagine being in Calgary??? lol!!:lmao:

Enjoy your 58...we just had lunch outside...ahhhh....first time this year!!!

Laura, I think the HM stands for the new movie "Hannah Montana". I think I could call disney and find out the list of movies playing on our cruise. Today is a gorgeous day here in New Jersey. I think we are having the same weather as you for the next few days will be cold. I can not wait to get to the beach on our cruise. :yay:

Okay! HM stands for Hannah. HSM is the High School Musical Acronym; The song is actaully fun! Very entertaining! I will burn it for each of you! You will not want to forget this memory!:woohoo: And Laura, enough drinks and we will get you into the movie!

Very overwhelmed! I thought that I was organized and went into the basement today sorting clothes. There is nothing to fit my FAT butt. So, I will now clarify my descrpitions......frazzled, frizzy and fat. F3 will be a fine name for me!

Need to make certain that I have batteries for all battery operated gadgets and gizmos. Now, let's keep this clean; not bringing anything like that!!! Mp3, gameboys, remotes for the car DVD, headphones etc. etc.

Everytime I go to the store I think of more stuff that I have to purchase. I did pick up a few bottles of wine and Captain Morgans. The list keeps growing. The groceries are on the wind down; the last two will be eating up what is left in the Fridge, pantry and freezer.

Good luck with the move!! I can not even imagine; I moved one summer when I was 6 months pregnant. Me and the two oldest; hubby and Jack waited until Daddy found a job in Toledo. Thinking of you!!:wizard:

Good Luck with Exams! Here's some Pixie Dust!:wizard:

Talk with everyone later tonight! It is actually 78 degrees here!! Wow!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Laura and Beth-You two had me laughing (in a good way!) regarding the great mani/pedi predicament. I too, am suffering with the same problem...:sad2::lmao::lmao::lmao:
I've decided to get the pedi right before we cruise (with color) and the mani will be colorless, because I normally don't even waste my money on it because I abuse my hands so bad. However, seeing as currently it looks as if my nails have been shoved in a blender, I will make the attempt. I love the thought of Don painting my toenails by the pool but frankly, there is a better chance of monkeys flying out of my butt.:scared:
Is anyone else planning on attending the spa for the aroma therapy rooms? I think this will be one indulgence Alexandra and I are going to enjoy!:wizard:
Glad to hear everyone is in good spirits and enjoying their planning, and a big cheer for Ashlotte who is handling the upcoming move with such a calm demeanor!!:woohoo:

LET THERE BE CRUISE!
AND THERE WAS CRUISE ...
AND HE SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD!

What is my favorite food /snack to eat on the cruise? anything sweet, :cake: especially if it is chocolate.

Favorite Disney character? Wall-E

Favorite WDW memory? Mr. Toad's wild ride at 16 during my high school choir tour. Finding out why my friend's sister was terrorized by it at a young age!

Favorite Disney movie? Snow White

Favorite Pixar movie? Toy Story

What is one thing you plan to buy for yourself on the ship? hopefully not too much! maybe a great t-shirt or sweat shirt.

What excursions are you doing? In Cozumel we are doing Tulum Ruins

Where is your favorite place to eat in WDW? Don't remember!

What is the oddest thing you will pack on the trip? not sure yet!

Are you going to WDW before or after your cruise? No, but spending a few days in Orlando with a friend from high school who lives there.

What is the best on-board activity in which you have participated ? My first DCL cruise - don't know yet!

Oh my!!! I already did all of that!!! :scared1: I really HATE shopping!

I needed to get it overwith early so it wouldn't ruin my vacation! :goodvibes

I just am going to have to learrn to embrace my chubby self! I bought some of those spanx to keep the fat in...I went from a B cup to a DD real quick! The fat has to go somewhere. I also felt the need to put a PSI warning on my clothes because I felt like a tire ready to blow up with too much air pressure. I know...too much information!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

And, you have two weeks to learn the dance....Boom Boom Clap Boom De Clap De Dlap....

Also HM could stand for Handy Manny!!! Heffelump Movie.....The list is endless.

Here is a picture of PinkElephant's DD, Me, and PinkE. I am going to get my hair cut short before cruising so I have "wash & wear hair" but you should be able to recognize me! Hope this link to the picture works!

Add me to that list of embracing my chubby self....I am going to buy some new capris for the cruise because my old ones fit a bit tight, not too tight, but considering the pigging out I plan to do, they could get really uncomfortable really fast! I had big ambitions losing weight before the cruise, but then the reality hit me that I'm a CPA, and that left me 2 weeks to lose the 10 lbs I wanted to lose....hmmmm....not happening!

My plan is to get a tan....it tricks me into feeling like I weigh less....lol. Off to the tanner I go today!

On another note....we all have our passports finally! And wouldn't ya know, it still won't let me print my cruise contract. Everything is checkmarked....ugh! Can I just sign the one that came with my cruise docs?

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that tried to lose a few pounds before going on holidays :) I have to say, it's not going very well either :confused3 I will be going tanning too this week. They say it makes you look thinner. I need all the help I can get :rotfl:

Well, I guess I'll share too since we women tend to worry about our appearance so much!
I have dieted and dieted and dieted for about 8 weeks now and I'm not happy with my results either. But guess what everyone? We're going on a cruise and we'll all be with wonderful company!! After a few of those pretty tropical drinks, no one will care, right?:lmao::lmao::lmao:
Oh, and by the way, don't keep worrying about how your going to look because stress creates cortisol and that creates fat. By all rights, when we got on the ship and relax, we should all come home 10 pounds lighter, right?!?:confused3:lmao:

Spencer4hire-The link worked! What a nice picture of the 3 of you...I assume this is from the recent Bat Mitzvah?

Phew, glad the link worked! :woohoo: Yes, the picture is from a lovely dinner for family and friends that was held the night before the big event.
