May 18th 4 Night Bahamas from Port Canaveral

Hi all,

First post..

We are due to leave Port Canaveral on May 18th for a 4 night Bahamas cruise form the UK.

We fly out on the 16th May have 2 nights in Orlando and then drive to Port Canaveral on the day of the Cruise, we then have 9 nights in Orlando post cruise.

What are others doing in wake of the cancellations ? I have forked out for hotels, flights, car hire. I am tempted to hold out for things calming down but with it being so close and according to experts not even in the peak of the COVID- 19 outbreak i would love to hear what others are doing/would advise.

Hi UK!

There are several threads on this board where people discuss what is best. But it really differs per person/family what the best decision is.
Mid-May is too far away at the moment to say anything about. For now you will have to wait to see if the 3 weeks closure of public life in Europe and the measures in the US are going to be enough.

Could be that it is enough to flatten the curve and parks etc. can go back into operation. Could also be that it's not enough and that measures will intensify.

It sounds like a great vacation. Personally I think you'll be fine. You are still a long way out.
