I'll be right next to you, bloody marys in hand!

Love a good Bloody Mary! Don't worry I'll bring my own straw and tabasco so we can share!!:rotfl:

Vodka?!? Did somebody say Vodka?!:drinking1 I'll have a bottle (maybe 2) with me on board! :thumbsup2

My new best friend!! :lovestruc

We will be drinking the boat dry! :)

I see a pre-dinner cocktail hour in the Promenade lounge developing!! :goodvibes Me and my girls love that lounge before dinner because they always have live music and it's near the dining rooms.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am fine, was a very minor op. Just tired, got about 3 hours sleep in the hospital, so am glad to be home. Been in my pyjamas since around 2pm!

Are most people taking their own alcohol onboard? I am hoping to pick some up on the Friday night after our flight - from looking at google maps there seems to be a large Walmart near the hotel we are staying in, so will do that, get some dinner, then collapse into bed exhausted!

I glad you are doing well.:)

Since we are flying in late the night before and staying at the airport Marriott, I will bring a few bottles in padded wine bags from home. I'm thinking a bottle of Bailey's, a Vodka and a bottle of wine. I'll be taking the bags with me anyway because I like to bring home local wines or spirits from our visits to other countries.

Keep that Bailey's bottle close to you :P

Now that sounds like a great idea! :D

I bought some baileys last time in duty free at the airport. Picked the biscotti flavour because I thought it sounded nice - it was disgusting! Ended up giving the bottle to our server, who was very grateful for it, then had to wait to Nassau before I could pick up any more alcohol (can't afford to drink at ships prices unfortunately!).

Won't make the same mistake again this time!

Don't feel bad, we don't drink much either, if at all :) but your Grandmother cracks me up :rotfl:
My grandmother was a hoot. She had her evening martini every night up until the week before she died at 92. She never over-indulged. But she said that nightly drink did more to help her arthritis than any other medicine she had. She was a fantastic lady.

Phew, all caught up! Only missed one day as had surgery yesterday, you guys can talk!

Anyway, thats my bladder surgery all out the way for the time being. Got a consultant appointment for my neck on 14th Feb, so that will be the next round of all things medical I think!

Can I ask, are any teenagers going to the pyjama breakfast on the first day? I put just myself down, but now DS15 is saying he would quite like to go, and DD14 said she'd go if there were other teenagers going! :worship:

hope all went well, hate hospitals and i have to work in one:rotfl2:

I talked to the registrar at school for our kindergartener. Because she is in a special program (dual language) she will just have to take her test to requalify for the program before we are gone. (We have to bus her to a different campus to be in this program - she should be completely bilingual by 6th grade in reading, writing and speaking so that is why she has to re-test into the program each year.)

Up to the principal if we have to withdraw/re-enroll this summer... or just take unexcused absences. Her reply: "I want to go with you!!!! I’m thrilled for you guys….what a wonderful educational experience for all."

I think that's a positive sign :thumbsup2 So I am not worried however it turns out.

couldnt see you cancelling this trip :rotfl:

Anyone else play Bunco? It's my one reason to get to mingle once a month with others from our 'hood. :thumbsup2 Off to go try to win some cash for the next few hours :)

im up for learning something new, name the time and place:cool1:

Glad to hear surgery is out of the way for now . And I hope that all goes well on 2/14 :goodvibes

I'm trying to find new jammies for my girls to wear to the breakfast. I don't think they'll want the Disney ones :sad2: I found some for DH and me on the Disney site, but nothing was jumping out for them. I'll need to keep looking.

ive seen some cute stitch onesies on ebay :thumbsup2

AWESOME, I love that story :goodvibes I miss both my grandma's. They were both quirky like that :) One would sing "baby prunes are like their dad, just not wrinkled quite as bad" always makes me smile when I think of that.

wow i missed the party being on nightshift last 3 nights!!

its going to be some cocktail party we can have with
the mix of alcohol being brought on board. :drinking1

i would have managed to drink it somehow, even if it had
to go in my coffee:coffee:

I LOVE Vodka! What's your statetoom number?

We will be drinking the boat dry! :)

I have been know to drink a bar dry! On a Wonder 4 day cruise, my group was drinking the "drink of the day" and we ran them out, they had to go to another bar to get more booze for usand we then ran that bar dry!

So what's everyone's favorite drink to make on the ship?

I like to bring firefly(ice tea flavored vodka) and mix it with lemonade from deck 9

i drink anything and everything, no favourite as i like to mix it up:cool1:

i do like tia maria with baileys on ice though, that firefly sounds interesting, never heard of it before. we have a cola cube vodka, takes
me back to my childhood lol the sweets not drinking :thumbsup2

I'd love to see a picture of the agility. Our puppy strikes me as the type that would have fun doing agility, but I think I'm too lazy to get him into it. That and we live in the boonies with no dog clubs nearby.

Agility is lots of fun. My wife loved it and misses it since we had to let Chloe retire. It teaches dogs all sorts of great things. Chloe knows sign language if she ever goes deaf, for example.

As requested, here's Windy Meadows Rhodora Chloe running her first and only 1st place. :goodvibes
