I just spoke with our group coordinator at Tremont and she is going to see what she can do for our group. So those who have booked our group rate, hang tight. :thumbsup2

Really hope she comes up with something great for you guys :)

if they get the rate down to the 125 - can we jump in?

Won't hurt to ask. She is supposed to call me back tomorrow so I will ask. Many of the lower rates are assuming one queen bed or just 1-2 people. Several in the group rate are 2 queen beds (or 1 king) and up to 4 people.

I hope your contact gets the lower rate for you all. The AAA refundable rate for a room with 2 Queens is $179.10, w/ taxes and fees it comes to about $206, the non-refundable Advanced purchase rate is the same.

For the seven families who have booked our group rate (David, Curt, Sarah, Kim, Susan, Sarah, Paul)- good news! :thumbsup2

Our Friday night group rate is $159 per room (up to 4 adults, 2 queens... or the other 1 king or 1 queen room). Definitely a fantastic rate when having over 2 in the room or needing 2 queens.
Our Thursday night group rate remains at $135 (only one family is booked Thursday night)

And of course I will have this documentation with me at check-in should there be any issues.

This was her message:

Hi Mandy,

I have changed your group block rates to $ 135.00 for Thursday and $159.00 for Friday Stays

I will email you a new list with the rate changes

anyone else needing rooms will receive these rates

Thanks

And she just answered my question - yes, she has adjusted the rate for those seven families already with reservations from the $209 on Friday night to $159 on Friday night. :thumbsup2

So glad she took care of us. I signed my name to that contract to guarantee the 8 rooms when we agreed to that nonrefundable rate. Whew! So be sure to roll the hotel cost into your trip insurance when computing all that. (Like I put everything down when figuring my bid for insuremytrip.com )

And me being one who dots my i's and crosses my t's... double checking everything... I just logged into my reservation and it is updated online with the new rate for that Friday night :)

159.00 USD room
23.85 USD taxes
182.85 USD total

Awesome news! Great planning there Mandy - really pleased you got the lower rate :)

We just booked! It's our first Disney cruise (third overall), and we went for the big one. We'll be with our 5yr old son and 15month old daughter. Looks like I have about 90 pages of reading to catch up on.

We're looking forward to the cruise, and hopefully to meeting many of you!

Congratulations on booking!!! :) Our two kiddos were ages 5 years and 15 months when we cruised the Magic for the Transatlantic in 2011. Perfect ages! :thumbsup2 They will have a BLAST!! And if anything like our experience last year... so much to do every single day that we never seemed to get back to the cabin for a nap... so naps happened in the stroller several times. Or on the nice chairs on deck four. We have a great picture of our 15-month old snoozing as we are passing the coast of Africa.... and another of our 5 year old one day at lunch passed out with her head on the table after a shore excursion. So many activities and FUN! :)

We are booked... My dh, ds(6) and dd (9) and fg ( fairy godmother). Not a real one but dd and ds godmother and to us a god send :)

Yay!! Welcome aboard!! We are definitely getting more kiddos on this cruise. I think it's because it's the end of the schoolyear (versus beginning). I feel less guilty pulling our kindergartener out the last nine days. :thumbsup2
