May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

Mike and I are actually looking forward to dinner at Palo on the last night (If we can get the reservation). I hope my kids are content in the clubs long enough for us to at least have that. The problem is that they are still a little too young to demand that they stay in the clubs and they obviously are too young to wander the ship by themselves. So, if they are really upset or have a problem in the club, we will have to cancel Palo. I don't see that happening though. I can't imagine them wanting to hang with us on the ship over hanging with kids their own age in the clubs where they are constantly doing fun things, but we'll see.

Anna.....I will watch the kids for you on that last night. I dont need to go into PALO.... Make the ressies for you and Mike and mom and dad. I will be fine. :cool1:

I told you already that we want you to come to. There is NO reason whatsoever that you shouldn't be able to take an hour to yourself. But I appreciate the offer.

OK, OK, OK with the martyr stuff.... Here's some info, touched on before, that was left up in the air..... this info might allow BOTH of y'all to get to Palo at some point... (the question and answers are not mine)
*******

Is it possible to do the brunch at Palos, the wine tasting and the bridge tour on the four- day Wonder? I think all three events are offered on the "at sea" day. I know the wine tasting is usually from 3-4PM, but I don't know the times for the brunch or the bridge tour.

It looks like the brunch is offered from 10:30 - 12:30. Wine tasting from 3-4.

Can anyone help with the last piece of the puzzle - the time of the bridge tour?

Oh, and do you sign up for a particular brunch time slot, or does everyone come at 10:30?

Welllll, you might call this an instant update....
sometimes required when I don't do my own legwork and, as in this case, too, take someone else's word as fact.... I thought I'd wait to get my documents for the final word but when I saw this post, including the times, I thought I'd put it up....If for no other reason but to settle what could become an ugly and violent......well, I exaggerate.....I really do want there to be a Palo Brunch. :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

I have read a few posts recently that lead me to believe that the Palo Brunch will be offered on our cruise. Which is a good thing! I guess time will tell.

I just got off the phone with the Castaway Club. The CM confirmed that the Palo champagne brunch will be offered during our cruise!!! They are going to be testing it for awhile to see if it goes over as well on the 4 nite as it has on the 7 nite.

The last thing the CM told me (and he repeated it 4 times) was that I should make that reservation FIRST before doing ANYTHING else. I got the impression that I shouldn't even take the time to drop my carry-on off at my room.

I'll go ahead and say my apologies now for running you all over on my way to make the ressies!

Just kidding......sort of.

Amy, did the CM tell you where the reservations for PALO were going to be? I heard Wavebands but I am not sure.

The location can change from cruise to cruise. But all the reservation locations are listed in the Day One Personal Navigator. I've always been given my first Navigator at check in so there is time to look through it while I'm waiting to board.

We should know where we're dashing off to long before we actually board.

You know, Amy, that's just the kind of attitude that prompted me to affix the cowcatcher device to the front of my electric scooter....
Lucky for you that the Disbus bringing me from the AKL probably won't even get to the port until 3:00...looong after reservations for EVERYTHING are completely closed. But I'll remember this lack of teamwork...Just watch for me...Short hair, shiny black electric scooter, tall black dog with long pointy teeth....:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

and, to answer my own, previously posted question...You have a set time for the brunch.....10:30AM, 11:AM, or 11:30AM...subject to change with each sailing....

Just sign up for the one you want on the day at sea it is offered....That part's easy.

Remember, pointy teeth....:teeth:

Hmmm. I wonder which line I need to stand in for the "non pointy teeth section." I don't remember seeing that in the Navigator, though.

Seriously, send me a PM Lynda if you'd like me to try to include you in a ressie with my Dad and me. Dad and I should be getting to the pier at about 11:30. I think that will be early enough to get a fairly good spot in the line to board and then off to the Palo ressie takers.

Just let me know,
Amy - (AKA "woman willing to sacrifice father to the pointy teeth and make a quick getaway")

Has anyone booked any Castaway Cay Shore Excursions yet? I think we will book the following package via e-mail soon:

Castaway Cay Getaway Package

Get all the fun under the sun for one convenient rate! Package includes snorkel equipment and float rental for the entire day, plus a 1-hour bicycle rental. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Price: $32 (ages 10 and above)
Child Price: $16 (ages 5-9)

I dont think we booked anything yet. Anna will be doing ours, right, Anna? Anyway, we plan on doing the banana boat and snorkeling. The float rental sounds like a good idea too. I can smell the skin sizzling already.....yeh:umbrella:

I was amazed how burnt we were after a few hours on the island in 9/02, even with some sunscreen on! I cant wait to feel the warmth.

Someone received cruise docs for a May 2nd sailing today...we are all just around the corner from receiving our goodies!
:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Documents on the way.....Yipee:hyper: My kids and I usually get burned the first few times in the sun. I try and make them wear tees when swimming. Myself, well, I am a man, I can handle the sun.....LOL then later that day......lobster red....ha ha
