May 14 day cruise - when to book hotel?

It seems a bit early but I noticed that a couple of the hotels were not showing availability for some of the time we would be there. Are people making their hotel reservations early?

They may not be showing availability yet because they don't take bookings so far in advance. I am going to be there for the 50th B'day and I emailed the hotel direct and they accepted the booking. I know the disney hotels are taking bookings - I can't afford their prices!
