Do they have you on an antibiotic???

Sometimes when they do biopsies, the bacteria that they are looking for (Helicobactor Pylori) isn't found for one reason or another, and they don't put the patient on a round of antibiotics.

HOWEVER, it could still be there, and if that's the case, then you must have the AB for it to clear itself up. If you aren't on one, and after a few weeks, there's no improvement, go back to your Dr. and request a round of AB's "just to try it and see if it works."

Dr's would much rather do the whole "let's stick a light down your throat and you-know-where" instead of trying the antibiotics.

Today is my birthday and out of no where DH brings me a wrapped gift. (first time in 15 years) we normally just buy what we want for our day. LOL Anyway I open it up and inside were cotton candy pink Crocs!!!!! I have wanted Crocs for at least 3 years. I first saw Crocs down the shore. I am in heaven.

I am so ready for May now.

Don't you love it when they get you something you really like and want.

I had a blood test and they did a biopsy for the H. Pylori bacteria. They both came back neg. Could it still possibly be that? Maybe I should call him and tell him that I'm still no 100% and talk to him about that?

LOL your right live in Jersey, for us "down the shore is LBI" (long beach island) the kids are so spoiled, we have friends who own a house right on the beach so we stay there alot, the kids think everyone can walk out the door and boom an ocean. LOL

My mom lived for 12 years with severe stomach pains. She ate nothing spicy EVER, only very, very bland stuff. She had the scope done on many, many occasions, because they just weren't sure why she was having such trouble.

H.Pylori never showed up. She got her first ever sinus infection when she turned 45 and her GP put her on a 2-week round of antibiotics. After those two weeks, her stomach was fine. Perfectly fine. She has been able to eat spicy things ever since. Her twin sister, same thing. Years and years of pain-scope-"no evidence of bacteria, sorry...here's some Previcid." When she broke her hip last year, she was on an antibiotic and it cleared her stomach problems up. Unbelievable.

The Dr will give you a fit; Dr's HATE being told that what they have diagnosed isn't quite right. (I can say that, I'm a former nurse).

I would wait at least a month with doing what he has told you to do before asking for the AB's.

I am thinking about it for the boys. I mentioned it to them and they seemed to like the idea.

i have done the pressed pennies locally not at Disney. i've done them like at six flags, and the zoo. i did them with my nephew and little brother... they loved it. they still have them.... it's a cute little souvenir for them... i'm going to do them when i get to disney... i'm already getting my change ready.

hey shelly if disney doesn't sell anything like that what I am planning on doing since my DD is only 2 i was going to bring home the disney maps and "try " to remember where i got them and stick the penny on the area that i got it in. and frame them. it's cute until she get's older and tells me to remove them ... you can do something like that on a scrap book or something...
