He-----lllllll----OOOOOOOoOO---- :snooty:
LIVE!!! From the Ozark Mountains!!!!!!!!:lovestruc :rotfl2:

We are here- this is the first chance I've had to post anything- it's an insane time goin on in the Natural State!:cool1:

Anyone wanna guess how many states we had to drive thru to get here? Okay before you hurt a brain cell or something--- SEVEN! We drove thru seven freakin' states!

When we got to Columbus, Ohio, my phone rang and it was Mark. He yells into the phone--
"BABY!!!! Do you smell that?"
Me- "Oh my god, what? Is it a tire? Did your battery blow? Is your engine on fire? Are you smokin? What the heck is wrong?"
Mark- "oh my gosh, baby, it stinks so bad. Do you smell it?"
me- "Omg--- what???? what is it??? are you okay?"
Mark-- "It's Ohio Stank (State), baby- them Buckeyes are roastin."

I could've killed him.

Men and their football, LOL.

anyway- we went past the Indianapolis Colts stadium, the St Louis Cardinals baseball field, we drove past the St Louis Arch and now we are here and it is HOT.:goodvibes
It was 106 this afternoon.

We are still at the hotel, and I am on a computer in the lobby so I can't stay on long, so off I go. Babies heads to wash and get to bed.

Just wanted to say hi. We close on the house next Monday. I'll try to log on every now and then to say hi and give updates.

Hope everyone is doing good.

Good luck to everyone planning trips and getting tix and buying houses and such. Miss you guys...

:snooty: :snooty: :snooty:

Jo

Hey Jo - Seven states? What an adventure! Thanks for checking in - I hope that you order room service a couple of times. :)

Well it was VMK day at DLR for us yesterday. In total we met with up 18 VMKers. One was from England who had married another VMKer, the day before - yes, they met on VMK. :lmao: It was hot and muggy yesterday - it reminded me a lot of Florida's humidity. Even at midnight, it was still warm and sticky.

Here is a few pics for you all...

Disneyland...the original!

Morning All......

Sea - GREAT pics.....thank you for sharing...

Jo - YAY you made it.... WOW 7 states that is a lot of states to drive through.

Good morning!

Glad to hear from you Jo :goodvibes How exciting to be moving into a new home! But 7 states...whew!

Great pics as always, Sea...and your caption reminded me why I hate ToT :scared: :crazy2:

Huggie...I might have to check with your mom next trip. Last year we had a very friendly travel agent, very helpful...this year...not so much :rotfl2: At least she got us the free dining promo, but I'm not convinced we got that great of a deal...and if I contact her for any reason, she seems a lil' bit cranky

HEY, LOOK AT MY TICKER!!! :yay:

Jo - I hope the heat isn't getting to you. I think it should cool down later this week. Geez a hotel room for how many days? My kids would be bouncing off the walls. I hope you have an indoor pool. I know the Embassy Suite at Rogers has one. If it is air conditioned you might be able to swim.

My son is on a float trip today at the Buffalo River, which is in north Arkansas. It should be good time.

My dd is at art camp this morning. She is having a blast.

Sea - you have the best pose for all your DL pics! I love them!

Katie - Hurray - you are nearly at the 1 month mark! :woohoo:

Hi to everyone!

Well, I need to get ready to go pick up my dd.

Have a great day Mayers!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe no one has posted since I was last on.

Am I a thread killer or what? :confused3

Of course not, NC! Can't speak for the others, but I had to work today...cuts into my WDW daydreaming, ya know? :rotfl2:

Today was really rough...just absolutely slammed with work. I get the "junk mail" at work -- I work at a utility company -- so all of the checks that aren't signed, or that we can't take because the customer has bounced checks to us, or don't match the amount on the bill, or are for many bills and don't match the amount of the check, or there is no account number and they have to be researched, or the customer wrote a note on their bill, or are illegible, or are for another company entirely -- all of that comes to MY desk, woo hoo, and I get to sort it out  Such a glamorous job, but hey, it's a living ;)

I wanna go to Disney World!!!!! :goodvibes

Sounds like job security to me! ;)

I had no idea that if you wrote the check for an amount different than what was due it caused a problem. Before you could do electronic bill pay or whatever that is called, my DH would write our check for a little more than what was due. Like if we owed $68.47, he would write the check for $70.00. He just liked round numbers. I had no idea that caused a problem. :confused3

Off to take dd to art camp. :car:

good morning! :flower3:

How is everyone? I'm ok - still trying to figure out the house situation - I just can't really do anything until my dad get's back and takes a walk through with me and then helps us set up a budget to figure out what we need to do. (And if we can even do it) Until that happens, I just keep imaginary decorating the place.

This is even funnier: don't know how it works for other companies, but it's not a problem for us if you cross 68.47 off on the bill and write in 70.00 (if you notice, a lot of companies have a space to write in the amount you wish to pay on the bill stub). But if the check is 70.00 and the bill stub just says 68.47, then it comes to my desk. Or if the bill is 148.92 and the check is 88.27, because the customer already paid the past due balance, then it comes to my desk. Or if the state sends in a payment for multiple accounts for 228,962.81 and the 36 bill stubs only total 91,356.44, then I have to start making calls to figure out if there are accounts missing that they want to pay...

:surfweb: :teacher:  :headache: :faint:  :badpc: :rotfl2:

That right there, is pretty much a picture of my day

And good morning, RF! Just saw you pop in while I was checking my spelling...

KB - I would go crazy if i were u....

 I am sure he never "wrote in" that he was paying $70 instead of $68.47. I always liked to be careful, payed the exact amount, wrote it in on the bill, wrote my account number on my check, etc. He would just write out the check stick it in the envelope with the invoice and send it in. I was always freaking out, saying, how will they know to apply that to our account. He would always say, Eh, they'll figure it out. :scared1:

Poor Katiebell. I am sure that we cause someone like you much grief back in the day before we went electronic. Now that is how we pay all of our bills. I think there are a couple of bills that cannot be paid that way, but everyone that we can, we pay electronically.

Here's what is even funnier - he now works for a company that does billing! :rotfl:

Morning Mayers!

What is everyone up to today?

I have to pick-up dd from a sleep over, take her to art camp, and then go work out.

I pick her up at noon, and then feed my crew, take ds to football, then dd to the orthodontist, then pick ds up from football.

Lots of driving for me today! :drive:

Good Morning!!!!
We'll we are now home from the great state of PA.

and we ..... LOVED IT!!! Pittsburgh ROCKS!!! lol

We jammed so much into our 4 days. The Incline, The Zoo and Aquarium, the Carnegie Natural History Museum with the Dino Exhibit, The Carnegie Science Center and Sportsworks, and the Titanic Exhibit, a Tour of Heinz Field, Station Square, we ate at Hard Rock Cafe, and Jerome Bettis's Grill 36, and also did the Children's Museum. We visited TARGET of course..and IKEA as well. We also went on a countryside drive one night and did a scavenger hunt with the kids looking for covered bridges...it was so much fun.

Unfortunately we were late coming through on Saturday ( because of another house showing), so we didnt get to stop at the Outlet and I wasn't able to meet up with Shelly...

But we'll be back another time.. so we'll do it then.. :)
So many hills and bridges... it was awesome.

The drive wasn't bad... about 5 hours... it was closer than I thought.
And the kids thought it was great that they were in two countries and across 3 states in one day. ( It's always the little wonders).

No bites on the house yet... but at least we had a wonderful get away, and were able to stop focusing on it for a while. DH is back to regular work today... so now I have to get out of vacation mode and back into reality. Laundry and cooking... oh.. how will I ever do it..haha

NC - you will be a driving maniac today.... have fun....

Lake - Glad your back and you had a wonderful time.....

Morning All!!!!

hmmmm it was kind of slow yesterday.....

i hope jo's move is going well! :snooty: :grouphug: :snooty:

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys this.

One of the trainers from my gym took his family to WDW. They got back on Sunday. They stayed at POR. Well, it was rainy one afternoon, so they decided to do the laundry. If you walked down the stairs at the end of their building you came our right by the laundry area. The steps are painted. Well, the rain made them really slick. He was wearing Croc flip flops. When his foot hit the first step his feet flew out from under him and fell all the way down the steps. He could barely move after the fall. He had to be taken to the ER by ambulance. Nothing was broken but he is pretty beat up, still lots of bruising. They said he had whiplash as well. His wife and kids had to push him around WDW in a wheel chair their last day. This guy is huge. He is one of the guys who was going to go to court with me if I had to testify against the robbers. Also, this guy runs stairs and bleachers for a living. You know that had to be really slick for him to fall.

I just wanted to let everyone know in case any of you stay there again. RF I know that was your honeymoon hotel.

Have a great day guys!
