Go to MGM or Epcot for the day ( It will always be MGM to me, I don't care what anyone says) and in the late afternoon or so take the boat to the Boardwalk. It's a fun ride over there from either place.

DH has been out with co workers to the bars and restaurants over there, I never have, but he says it's a fun place to hang out.

oooh and i also thought of another question!!! how does everyone feel about packing?? do i go light and just do a load of laundry during the week ...... or pack clothes for everyday? i'm getting both sides from fam and friends but i can't decide!!! i really don't want to laundry on my honeymoon, but I may be better off with less

I also would hate to do laundry on my Honeymoon... last year i pakced enough for every day but ended up doing laundry the last night i was there so that i could bring the clothes clean... I know i'm weird...

I pack clothes for everyday. At least 2 outfits a day for me!! I like to have options!! I don't want to have to do laundry on my vacation!! It's only one week a year, why make work for myself ???

But that's totally a preference thing. Whatever you feel like really. It is nice to know that the laundry mats are there if you end up needing them though!

I "feel" okay, my foot, however does not.

The Rheumy wants me to go on this really powerful drug that is contraversial- and i am afraid to take it.

It's a chemo drug and I would most likely get the same rxn's cancer pts get when they go through chemo- hair loss, nausea, vomiting, etc...
and some people say that the drug causes a shortened life span...

so that's why since I saw her I've been out of it a bit.

Anyway, not to be a downer...
I've just got a lot of things to consider before I do anything like that.

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled trip excitement!

Jo - That's a huge decision. I understand why you would be hesitant to take it and scared. Do what's best for you. I would hate to think that something that i'm taking is going to shorten my life. Very HUGE con in my book but only you know the pain you are in. Either way the MAYER's are here for you....

Hey DS6 was just talking about you!! He walked into the computer room and asked what I was doing. I told him I was chatting with my Disney friends. He said - you mean the ones we saw at the mall??? Then he went onto tell me that you had a big girl, a boy DS8's age, and a little girl his age that had a game with her that day and she let him try it! Aw, how cute! The next generation of MAYers!!

Personally, I pack my entire closet. I'm not kidding. One suitcase for shoes only. Another for makeup. Again, not kidding.

And then I pack Belle's closet.
And Mary Catherine's closet.
And Drew's closet.

And then when Mark says he doesn't have any luggage left for his clothes, I go out and buy another suitcase for him.

And then I buy stuff there for all of us to wear.

We never do laundry while there. I hate to do laundry at home, why do something I loathe while on vacation????

That's just me though.
I tend to be a bit high maintenence.

We do laundry while at WDW. We do it on a day that we are hanging out at the resort. We load up the washers and dryers and hang out at the pool while the clothes are washing and drying. Nothing to it!

We do bring detergent from home as well as bounce.

Sea Turtles - The reason I go in May is i feel the crowds are light and the temps are great. It's nice and warm during the day and cooler during the night. Congrats on your wedding.. If you ahve any questions you can ask them here??? we can help you out?

I am not going this year in May, most all of us on this thread went last year, and that's how this thread began- we've all been talking for a over a year now. I will be going to WDW this year at Halloween. so far away!!
As far as May goes, it's a lovely time of the year to go. Epcot is beautiful with all of the flowers. The lines at the parks are less than the Holidays and summer. What are your dates and where are you staying? You're getting married? Congratulations! Now, spill it... tell us the details of your trip- you are among friends... We'd love to help you out in any way and offer our opinions on whatever you need. We don't bite, promise.

Welcome Sea Turtles! We went last May simply because our anniversary is in May. But it ended up to be an awesome time to go, so we are doing it again this year!! We never waited more than 15-20 minutes for anything, except Dumbo (an hour )! The weather was great too. The weather report was calling for thunderstorms everyday we were there and we never got one! It sprinkled briefly twice throughout the week and then it poured for maybe an hour on our last night. Other than that it was sunny and warm. Mid 80's during the day, mid 70's at night.
There's also the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot if you like that sort of thing.

There was no real reason for going to May for us but once we got there and saw the low crowds we quickly realized that is was the best time to go.

Welcome Seaturtles. We love May, it is less expensive, lower crowds, and nice weather! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Thank you all sooo much for the 'welcomes', goodvibes, and the May-stay experiences. I cannot wait! Our planning session is Friday (5/16) so we're getting there on Thurs AM and leaving late Monday. Definitely had to stretch the trip out as much as we could, LOL. We scored a pretty sweet AP discount for the WL so we're gonna give that a whirl. Originally we had a June appointment but changed it so we could hit up the PPP! After hearing from y'all I'm so psyched about going in May. I'm sure I'll be bothering you real soon with other questions

I was going to sign them up for Friday but then realized that DH has off that day. . . Who knew??? I didn't even get Good Friday off when I worked at the bank, and we were off for every stupid holiday imaginable!!

So now I have to figure out our plans for Easter weekend. Do you think it's too late to sign up if I decide to go?
